Party Sims won't listen to piano
« on: March 18, 2015, 07:40:33 PM »
Just had a black and white party and could only achieve silver because none of the guests, while in the room with the piano and piano player playing, would "listen" to the piano.  Obviously they could hear it but it wouldn't register and there was no option when I clicked on the guests or piano player.  Is this a known problem?
What?  Grannies can't play games?

It's something I always had trouble with, and from what I've read online, so have other people.  I've never been able to get that goal met.

I'm just throwing this out there, but it's probably too obvious to work, but I was under the impression if you are talking to someone, you can click on the piano or the piano player and select "Listen together."

The only time I've thrown a black and white party I only had one household member, and he was playing the piano, so this wasn't an option.  I've heard from other people that the interaction to watch the piano player doesn't count towards the objective, but I can't say for sure.  Have you been able to try this Joria?

I had several people "watch" but it doesn't count.  I didn't try having two people in conversation try something together.  Since the black and white party didn't reach gold I have to redo it so I'll try with two people "listen together" if it shows up.  I hate having to do parties!

I just completed this party milestone for a Black and White Bash as follows:

1) End any club gathering (because you can't form a group while a club gathering is active)
2) Your pianist sim clicks "Action/Form group" then proceeds to form a group consisting of party guests.
3) Next, your pianist sim selects "Play concerto for group." The other group members will autonomously gather and "Watch performance."

At a recent party, the first pianist sim was unsuccessful (because two group members were hosts?). When I tried it again with a different sim, it worked the first time.
