Do butlers all have the klepto trait, like maids do? Have you guys noticed things missing?

My butler seems to be doing a lot of cooking.  Every time I turn around, there's some new dish waiting on the counter.  And my sims seem to be eating it, even if they aren't that hungry!

I think it would be funny if they all got really fat, since they started out very thin.  They could probably stand to gain some weight. ;)

Oh just use the phone and click "Services".  It's a bit pricey but probably worth it.

My buttler wallked off the job too.  I hope there is a way to attract him back.  I kinda got use to having someone cook and clean.  I was really getting use to living the life of a celebrity.

Can you fire them and get a new one like the maids? I had a terrible maid in my vampire game, but she was a ready source of lunch (so shallow I know), but I fired her and they sent me a new maid. I wonder if you fire an oddball butler if you would get a new one.

I SO love having a butler! No more cooking, no laundry, no making beds! No more klepto maids that make a bed, leave the rest of the house a mess and walk out with your $125.00.

My second butler is lazy. My first butler used to always have breakfast ready before my sims got up for work. The one I have now is always sleepy, plus she hates my toddler she won't help out with her which is what made me hire a sitter who hates my toddler as well. Everyone hates my toddler. She is very spoiled for some reason

Maybe your butler has the Couch Potato trait. And he and the babysitter maybe just both have the Hates Children trait. I know that sounds ironic, but it is The Sims we are talking about so it could be a ingame joke.

Btw. Is there a way to see or change your butlers traits? It could be handy to have a natural cook, handy, green dumb, neat and genius butler at home. I say genius so he can teach other sims.

Is there a cheat to modify other sims trait outside of your household or cheat them first in so you can midlife crisis them?

I don't have the game yet, so I have to ask you guys.

I've hired my butler, assigned his room and nothing!! A car is sitting in the road for 3 days now. But no Butler!! He is my friends relations bar, every time I call him he's busy!!

How can I get him back to the lot?

I had to fire my butler after 5 days, he stood all day at the bar making drinks.  He would never cook and when I asked him he would go watch TV for about an hour then make something.

Also I think there is a bug involved with the car on the road, as soon as he showed up, my sims wouldn't use their vehicles anymore.  I'm also kinda surprised that it wouldn't be parked in the open space I had when he showed up (have 2 cars and 3 spaces)

edit:  Ohh yeah, almost forgot.  My sims have the ability to plant everything except the omni plant, so the fridge is fully stocked of perfect food, yet everything he does make costs money.  Has anyone noticed there not be a charge when he cooks?

I seem to have lost my butler too, I can't fire him because I need to do it in person :( but when I try to call him, he tells me he is at work.

Maybe he's there, but invisible, as in some other bugs.

I thought that too, but the house gets messy and my poor sim has to do it all herself lol, am sure they will fix it.

My house is the same way too. I had to rehire a maid to come and clean, but she refuses to make the beds.
