No Saving and then it crashes.

When i start the game it works alright, but then when i have done something in the game and try to save it, it does not save and the game stops responding.
It does not give me a chance to do save and exit either, the game just refuses to save anything i have done. It is very frustrating.
The game started to play up since i tried to upgrade the game, never been able to do the upgrade because it keeps on timing out. I installed a new stuff one the 70, 80 and 90's one and it started to play up since that installation although uninstalling did not make a difference.  I don't know what to do anymore

Thank you for sharing the specs.

If you haven't yet, try a factory reset. Turn off the Interactive loading screens as well. Then start a new game and immediately save it to see what happens. If it still crashes, go to the in game options, and lower the graphics to the lowest settings and do the same thing (start a new game and immediately save). It should give us an idea if something is up.

Turn Off Interactive Loading Screens -- Go to Options (...) Select the gear tab, which is the General Settings, at the bottom of the menu uncheck the box labelled Interactive Loading Screens.
