Separate Files?
« on: March 03, 2015, 07:03:20 PM »
Sorry, I wasn't really sure what to call this because I can't remember the name of what I'm trying to do. Basically, I want to try out a couple of dynasties but I have a lot of mods installed right now. Is there a way to save all of my saved games and mods that are in my Sims 3 folder right now somewhere else so I can switch between that and a clean file for my challenges? I know I've seen this around the forum before but I couldn't find it anywhere. I hope this makes sense and somebody can help me out here. Thanks!

Name your sims 3 folder something else. Now boot up the game and you have two seperate files! Just name the active folder sims 3 when you want to use it.

Thanks @Lisa46 !

So I just have to rename my current Sims 3 folder and then start the game up and that will generate a new Sims 3 folder for me?
