Metro, the scores look like maybe they are backwards in the rule set from what you were suggesting in the thread. Am I just reading it incorrectly?

The scores in the ruleset looks fine to me.  In the rules, metro bought 5 reward store traits as an example, and only 1 reward store trait (never weary) cost more then 2500 points.  The other 4 reward traits cost less than 2500 points.

Hence -
4 reward trait less than 2500 =  4 X 1 point = 4 points
1 reward trait more than 2500 = 1 X 2 points = 2 points

Aspiration completion trait are worth 3 points each.

Just to be clear, if an aspiration obviously completes prematurely, do we wait to give ourselves credit for the trait reward from it until after the point where it should have been completed?

Yes correct.  Let's say the masterchef aspiration prematurely completes (reach career level eight) - your sim cannot count that aspiration trait reward yet.  He/she needs to actually complete the aspiration by reaching level 8 to count that trait.

I was looking at the greater than/less than sign. Got it mixed up, I assume, which is why I teach music - I only have to count to 4! Ha! ;D

When I learned those signs, the teachers said it was like Pac Man was eating the bigger number.  That's been a good way to remember it.

I clarified the no restrictions on household additions rule -

  • No restrictions on household additions (except no additions via the Gallery) and or moving.

I like Marian's idea, but on the other hand you guys know that I always lean towards simplicity. So, let's change it to something like:

RS < 2500 (Reward Store traits costing less than 2500 points) - 1 pt

RS 2500+ (Reward Store traits costing 2500 points or more) - 2 pts

Asp Traits (Traits received via completing Aspirations) - 3 pts

So, what do you guys think about that?

Correct me if im wrong but isnt that what it is?

Sorry for the confusion - I forgot to add the thumbs up topic icon which tips off players. But, anyways - it's this event and Collection Obsession that are now live.

Any word on whether or not we are allowing the new expansion pack? I want to get started this weekend, but I pre-ordered the new "Get to Work" expansion pack. Origin automatically downloads everything, and I have no idea how to play a challenge game limiting which expansion packs are used - It is all a mystery to me. I was never able to figure it out in Sims 3 either. Basically, I know just enough to completely break everything. Haha! I need step by step instructions for dummies. :)

Oh, I did the same thing, and didn't even think about it.  I guess my expansion will be automatically activated when it's released.  We could always do our best to avoid the content from it though if the expansion isn't allowed.

I can't remember if I had the option to install Outdoor Retreat or not - I pre-ordered it as well.
