Putting fish in the fridge!

I have been unable to put fish in the fridge, I assumed in Sims4 you couldn't. I was just reading something and it referred to storing fish in the fridge. So I tried to put my fish in the fridge and they go back to the inventory.  Is this just me or are others unable to store fish in the fridge?

If the fish is foul already it will not allow you to store it in the fridge.

I've been able to store foul fish in the refrigerator.

For the longest time, I've been able to store fish in the refrigerator. But in my last file, I could only store sturgeon, shark and tilapia. All the other types were rejected and bounced back into the Sim's personal inventory. Very strange.

That really is strange.  For me I wound up having one of the fish they caught go into the family inventory.  The only thing I could do with it was sell it.

In my latest file, I could only store trout. Very weird.
I had to transfer quite a lot of fish from one Sim to another Sim. As I couldn't use the fridge, I used a fish bowl for it.
