Pregnant Townies?

I'm currently playing a legacy and so far there's several kids for my children to be friends with, but I don't want to run into a problem for the later generations and want to have some children in the world, so I've been going into different households and getting all the women pregnant. I want to know if I have aging enabled, will these pregnant townies give birth on their own even when I'm playing in a different household, like they would with Story Progression? Or will I have to play their household for a few days until they give birth?

You don't have to play them past the point of getting the sim pregnant, and verifying it with a test.  I do this all the time in my various saves.

The briefly-played household will have the sim give birth and the babies will age up into children and onward normally.

You don't need to play a household for the pregnant sim to give birth.  Your played sim can get any townie sim pregnant and then when the nooboo is born your sim will get a notification that the baby (son or daughter) has been born and the nooboo will appear in your sims friendship panel. That way you don't need to break the legacy rule of only ever playing your one household during your legacy.

Yes. It's always been possible to do this.

Does the played household male has to 'try for a baby' on the home lot? Or can he do the business on other lots?

I'm pretty sure you can try for baby on any lot... been a while since I've played a sim that was up to that... lol.

You can try for baby on any lot. I've had it turn out successful whether the father did it on the home lot when the mother lived elsewhere, and in the mother's home when he lived elsewhere.
