Sims 3 Launcher Post Patch Issues

I don't have Late Night, but I downloaded and installed the patch.

Is anyone else having issues with the Game Launcher? It sometimes randomly tells me it can't connect to EA's update servers, but not all the time.
Almost every time I start the game from the launcher, the Launcher crashes and needs to be "ended". I'm running 32-bit Windows Vista.

Not a huge issue, but made me curious since the issues started popping up right after the patch was installed.

Come to think of it, I've had a couple of funky things happen with the launcher since doing the patch--told me it couldn't connect to EA download manager once.  It's not stopped me playing the game though, and I've only played a few times anyway, so I can't vouch for how consistent it is.

I get that message about not being able to connect to the EA download manager pretty much every time I start my game.  The game works fine, and I haven't had any problems downloading the few purchases I've made from the store, so I just ignore the message.

Every time I play on my laptop after starting the game, I get the error message about the launcher needing to close.  It does not affect game play but it is annoying.  I can't remember if it did it before the patch.  My laptop is buggy.  I also get the error when the launcher opens about a script error too (also before the patch).  But I do think it has happened before the patch, just the frequency has increased.

I have gotten that message too, but does not affect the game, which is good.  Not sure what it means, but as long as I can still play, then it does not really matter.

Same here.  I get the error messages, but it doesn't stop me from playing the game.  I ignore them.
