Thursday 11th

Dear Diary,

I chatted to Arianna this morning over breakfast. I can see Nicks attraction... I sorta got carried away with one of my stories and stuck my elbow in my food. *Embarrassing* Anyway, I've got a centre to run...

Chilling out in the garden was exactly what I needed this morning. I had to think about what I was going to say to my leaving friend. I'd stopped thinking in terms of 'patient' a while ago actually. I think that this is a good thing as we are all here to become well and we do that most efficiently by helping each other.

Winston came out for a chat. I told him a pretty funny secret.

It's cool he gets me.

Jon woke up in a really good mood this morning and rightly so.

After he'd eaten breakfast he chilled with a chess game. Arianna said she wasn't exactly trolling the forums, more just replying in kind.

Winston's started doing creating landscapes.

Then it was time to congratulate Jon. For all his hard work, positivity, humour and most importantly his wellness. He was officially free to get on with his life.

I asked him if there was one thing that he could take forward with him into his new future, that he had learned here. He replied the value of friendships, and the role this plays in building resilience in life.

I was deeply proud of my friend and all he had achieved. I was going to miss him too but knew he would visit from time to time, just to check in and see how we were all doing.

As I walked him to the door it suddenly occurred to me that I had a part in all of this!

I wished him well, told him to not be a stranger... then one firm handshake and Jon was off to his new adventure whatever that may be.

I felt really good as I walked back inside. I had a confidence that no matter what life threw at me, with a bit of help I could do anything.

Now all I had to do was wait for our new resident. Cool!

Catch you tomorrow.

Matt.

Great fun -- I'm amazed that Arianna will take care of the garden autonomously -- does she have any helpful traits?

Thanks sdhoey! I'm sure someone interesting will be joining the asylum soon!

@MarianT , she only waters it now and again. Nothing else and not very often at all! Her traits are insane, romantic and bookworm. Bo has also watered the garden, although from memory, I think she has only done it once. Neither of them have done it often enough to gain more than a smidgeon on the gardening level 1 skill bar.

Friday 12th

Dear Diary,

I didn't have to wait very long as our next resident came bouncing in the door full of energy.

She almost looked pleased to be here!

She took a quick look around and then introduced herself. Of course I already knew who she was but I was happy to let her do the talking.

After our introductions I told Alena straight up about the bed situation and the bathroom facilities. I also mentioned Kira's 'special' problem and generally gave her the heads up.

Alena was fine with it all to my relief. I think she'll fit in fine and hopefully as I get to know her a little more I'll be able to help her too.

Pearl came over and was the first to say hi. I have no idea why she is so dirty! ... Oh wait...

...of course. The shower needs fixing. Again.

I thought Kira introduced herself too. Turns out she was just chatting to the chess table.

Winston was about to introduce himself, but found himself struck dumb by Alena's beauty. Or that's what he said to me afterwards anyway.

I think he tried a little flirtatious flirting ...

Which Alena was on to immediately. Not that impressed either.

She wasted no time in telling Winston all about his little... oh well.. you know. Err, gave him a bit of a brush-off shall we say.

Winston was pretty shocked, maybe stunned more. I know he didn't mean to offend Alena but after all I think you should actually introduce yourself before trying it on. *sigh* I'm not sure who to feel sorry for the most. Mind you... bwahahahha, the more I think about it, it is pretty funny that Winston got shut-down...hahaha

Anyway, he took it out on the punching bag.

And Alena told Kira that she was to stay right where she was and that she (Alena) had her eye on her. Hahaha. Alena's priceless.

Anway, that's all for now. It's been quite a full on kinda day.

Matt.

Saturday 13th

Dear Diary,

Today started with Nick giving Winston a bit of stick about being brushed-off by Alena. bwahahaha... I know I shouldn't... but it makes me crack up! Note to future self: scribble this bit out before giving anyone a copy.

I managed to put a straight face on and check in with Winston, just to make sure he wasn't too upset. He said he was fine and that he should have known better but she just looked so beautiful sitting there that he kinda forgot himself. Aw, can't laugh at that.

Kira was the first to give Jon's leaving gift a whirl. I should have guessed that a geek would leave us one of these. How cool!

The girls bonded over a late breakfast.

Kira got a bit put out when Alena jumped up and helped with the cleaning. She said it was her job and that no one could do it just exactly right. So, yeah, we still got a bit of work to do on this issue I guess.

We all headed out for a trip, well, more of a visit. I needed some plants that only grew around Mr and Mrs Landgraabs place so they invited us over for the day. I hope everyone behaves!

Kira just wouldn't leave the cleaning issue alone.

Alena stopped her from talking...

... and told her she'd rather they were all friends! Nicely done!

Winston chatted to Malcolm for a while, who was a bit too busy trolling goodness knows what to have much of a conversation.

Pearl and Nick chatted away while working out.

Alena found something interesting to look at on the internet.

Later on I found Winston critiquing his latest painting. I didn't even know the Landgraabs had an easel!

Arianna passed out.

I knew everyone was getting pretty tired but the plants I needed had only just become available so I sprinted away, hoping everyone was going to stay awake until I got back.

Arianna passed out... again.

I got a bit side-tracked with some dig sites. They are a bit like a Christmas present, you never know what's in them. Something fabulous or something you've already got!

Nick nearly cracked his jaw with that one.

Then passed out.

Aaaannnd Arianna again.

Guess who's next.

Yep, Kira. Mr Landgraab had just come downstairs to say hello, some greeting!

Nick again.

Pearl's turn. These plants better be worth it, 'cos the dig sites were rubbish.

Everyone was pretty zonked out by the time we got home. Although I did notice Alena glancing at Winston. Maybe she's changed her mind, just a little, about him? Maybe.

Anyway... I've got some grafting and stuff to do, and I don't like my chances of getting a bed tonight so I'll write more tomorrow. Or later as I think it's already tomorrow now.

Matt.

Great to see Alena in this, she's one of my favorite Sims!  Poor Sims, all tuckered out and nowhere to sleep.
