University Dorm Lot

Hi, I bulldozed one of the dorms and was planning to place a custom dorm in there, but couldn't. I just bulldozed the bldg first and could not place the custom one (same size lot and designated a dorm), then I tried bulldozing the entire lot and now I can't get that same size lot. It was the center dorm and I'm thinking that it might be b/c of the border/sidewalk around the bldg. That evidently didn't bulldoze and it cause all manner of problems. Is there anyway of getting the dorm back or do I have to scrap that game?

Edit: I just tried w/another dorm lot. I place a copy of it in the library first, then bulldozed the bldg. I was not able to place the dorm back in the same lot. When I tried, it just went blank.   Scared to bulldoze the whole lot again b/c I'm sure I won't be able to place even a blank lot there.

You could try changing an existing house in the neighborhood to suit your tastes, I am not sure how you could build on a dorm lot. This solution should work and I understand it is not ideal but it is a workaround. Hope this helped but if it did not then I am sorry.
