I got a total of 370.

I have this exact same problem now, and this is how I manage to temporary fix mine, not sure if it will help someone.

If you start your file and achievement points is "not" zero:
1- close game
2- go to origin and repair game
3- start game again

When I have to stop playing, I write down how many achievement points I have on a paper.
When you ready to start playing the file again, I open it up and check my achievement points even before I start playing.
If it matches, play.
If it doesn't match (sometimes the game collect points from your other files too), I will do the 3 steps above.
It is very time consuming and annoying, but oh well.

I figured out that you really can't play other files if you have this problem, since even if you don't get any actual achievements on your other files, things you do may count towards the achievements.  This is especially true with the time played achievements.

I love non-repetitive challenges like this, that take a more complex plan of action.  My Sim managed to earn 1520 achievement points.

Hey, everyone - just a reminder that some achievements are bugged. You may put in the effort to do a given achievement and the game does not give you credit. Or in other cases, you may have not yet finished all the necessary work, and DO get an achievement. In either case, please PM the team with details, so we can make a quick decision. Thanks.

I've just finished with a score of 620

Much better than I had done in practice runs so I'm happy with that.

Sympathies on the dead sim, Deklitch - that happened to me in one of my practices for this challenge and caught me by surprise.
