Chapter 1.6 The Watchers
Pippin: Polly had passed beyond, but she still came around to care for and nurture the family.
Polly: Get out of my seat, lazy!
Pippin: And she was there to protect the family from zombies.
Zombie Reuben Custard: Raaaa...Brains....
Polly: Speaking of brains, my Ellavine's quite the clever young lady and quite a catch. You're single, right?
Zombie Reuben Custard: Urngh...Uhhh...yeah...
Pippin: And she was there to watch over other family relationships.
Gianelle: Hey there, tall, clear, and ghostly.
Ghost Daisy: Hello, sweetie.
Rafael: It's so sweet that your ghost beloved came back to spend time with you.
Polly: Fine! I get the hint!
Pippin: But even when the ghost of Polly was not watching after them, the family could count on the caring eyes of the paparazzi.
Papparazzo: I can see the headlines now, Ellavine Maloney and her canine cutie!
Ellavine: Eww, he's like, practically
my age! Don't be disgusting!
Pippin: And sometimes, it was the people whose lives Ellavine was disrupting who would keep an eye on her.
Janette: Umm...are you breaking into our mailbox?
Ellavine: Am I...umm...what? No...of course not. There's a hinge that's...not...hinging...so I was...rehinging it...
Pippin: But someone else was keeping an eye on Matty.
Matty: Uh oh...
Matty: Please don't take me!
Grim: No worries, I got a hopscotch board! We can play for all eternity!
Matty: Umm...still please don't take me?
Grim: Party pooper.
Pippin: But Matty did cross over to the other side...
Pippin: and in so doing, he fulfilled a requirement.
Squirrel: Finally! Maybe now that wolf girl will stop coming over here and chasing me!
Pippin: Oh, and speaking of relationships...
Pippin: Purnella met someone she rather fancied while making sure we had NPC friends for the household.
Purnella: Hi, you're cute. Wanna have a baby?
Pippin: Well, that escalated quickly.
Purnella: Very quickly!
Pippin: So, that's different, but this is pretty much the same.
Ellavine: Alright, Frosty, are you gonna tell me what you know about the Mystery Prankster, or do I need to rough you up some more?
Pippin: Unfortunately, Ellavine's been having lots of trouble leveling up as an investigator as her cases keep glitching.
Ellavine: What's "glitching?"
Pippin: Oh...ummm...that's just...magic...Watcher talk...for...not working...the right way...
Ellavine: What? Oh, I stopped paying attention once you started rambling and decided to stomp some loser at chess.
Elspeth: Hey! I'm that loser!
Ellavine: Yeah you are.
Pippin: And speaking of Ellavine's wonderful charm, the family purchased Marina Field (renaming it Maloney Field) and set up a place for Ellavine to marry someone. Probably someone really, really old.
Ellavine: You mean "distinguished."
Pippin: I mean "old." And they also purchased Steve's Business and Restaurant Complex and Replaced Steve's name with Maloney.
Pippin: Raf has gone a little over the edge as he's the only elder left in the household.
Rafael: I don't feel a day over 100!
Pippin: Ummm...going on a date with Matty's widowed girlfriend? Gotta agree with the paparazzo on this one. Boo, Raf. Boo! So, anyway, things had to move quickly if we were going to accomplish all the goals. Ellavine moved into tutoring mode.
Pippin: And Purnella gave birth to Gigi.
Pippin: And the elevator glitched and no one could go into or come out of the house.
Pippin: So Ellavine, Raf, and Gianelle moved into the fire station
Pippin: where they were watched over by zombies and paparazzi.
Pippin: And the firemen were happy to keep and eye on Ellavine as well.
Ellavine: Shush, Pippin! I'm finding astral bodies!
Pippin: Speaking of bodies...you...uh...you aren't covering yours...
Pippin: Gigi becomes a child.
Pippin: A sweet, adorable, bald child.
Pippin: Uh oh...
Pippin: So, the Maloney name is splattered across two properties, they made lots of friends, and lots of good things happened. However, Ellavine did not manage to max out her glitchy job. Also, we spent so much time working on the glitchy job that she didn't have enough time to finish each supermax area for logic.
It has been fun working on this, but for the fourth time, I've failed at a decadynasty. Sigh.
