I am so addicted to this wonderful expression of creativity we all love called The Sims. Consider the following proofs and judge for yourself
1) I am a Games Master for an online Star Trek text-based forum RPG. I'm currently running two missions (commonly called sims) there. (I love the idea of being able to use sims in sims so to speak.)
a) In one of the missions, there is a ship that's gone missing, all of the people on that ship are named after Riverview sims. The non-player characters (npcs) that the role players on that ship are dealing with are named after sims from Sunset Valley (Agnes Crumplebottom is a glorified secretary and her boss is Hank Goddard), while Mortimer Goth needs assistance from the ship's chief engineer to help him re-create his missing wife, Bella Goth as a hologram. Additionally, one of the characters there plays a doctor, and she's being literally dragged around on a shopping trip. On the way, she and her companion will come across a lady called Claire Ursine, who is giving birth just as they arrive.
b) On the other one, there are a group of Travellers on a ship that comes to the outpost. The ship is called the Vita, the second in command is Hunter Cotteneye, and the third in command is Malcolm Landgraab (wanted for questioning). Their leader is Naomi Nita (I think that's the name), and their are an adorable pair of twin kids who are named after a pair of kids in one of the worlds.
2) After finishing work, I thought I should check on whether or not my founder has supermaxed cooking. On checking, no, he was on 74 meals. So I thought I'd just go in and have him cook a meal. That was ummm about 2 hours ago and I STILL haven't cooked that last meal, but my singer did reach level 6 in her career, my backup sculpture has just done her 25th ice sculpture and my Gen 2er and his future wife are both toddlers now.
3) I work from home, and at every break I come in on this computer and err check on the status of the boards and progress my game a bit.
Yeah, I guess you could say I'm addicted, but I don't have a problem with that.
