Hey Jessie, Maybe, but like jet lag it'll take weeks to catch up on the forum! If it wasn't for seeing and holding my grandchildren, I'd stay home.
Hmm, I guess. I'm going back to England for a week or so (which will end up being more, if the past holds true) with limited, if any at all, internet access, so I'll be in the same position too.  :-\ Enjoy seeing your grandchildren, though!

I'm currently at my grandparents' but I couldn't do without Sims or the forums. I took my laptop with me, apparently.

Thanks! Luckily, we do video calls every weekend. Even the 7 month old gets excited when I sing to him. Holding them is better.

I will be visiting America in a few weeks. (Disneyland! :)) I can't bring Sims, obviously, that would be antisocial. But I'll bring my iPod and come on the forums on it, like I'm doing now, because I'm that obsessed. I hope the theme parks will keep my mind off pining for Sims.

Holding grandchildren is definitely better. And maybe you can find a computer in the library.

I should be able to read the forums now and then. I'll kick my son-in-law off the computer.

Part of the problem I will be alone many days, since they have to work. Except the one son-in-law works nights and will be home. Maybe if I bake him a cake?

Tell him to take you somewhere (like a park or something) then when you get back run through the door and get to the laptop first.  ;)

Ceder Point is the one thing that keeps my mind off Sims. I think I revealed myself on the Facebook page, so I might catch you guys in the long line for the Millennium Force. Carl, Metro, do you guys ever come to Ceder Point, since you kind of live in the same region as me?

Never been to Cedar Point. But, the family just got back from a nice vacation at Wisconsin Dells. That's a blast and is a tradition we do every year right after Father's Day.

I had to laugh at myself today. I was discussing one of the Harry Potter movies with a friend from work (who doesn't play the Sims), and we were talking about a scene with Hermione's cat Crookshanks in it. She couldn't remember what Crookshanks looked like, so she did an image search, and clicked on a picture at random. She said, "why do those cats look funny?" and I blurted out, "they're Sims cats!"

Yes, she'd clicked on a Sims 2 custom site where someone had made a Crookshanks. The funniest part? I've never even played Sims 2. I started with 3. But I recognized the way the pets looked in the last one from looking for info on the upcoming pets expansion. Hi, my name is FrostFlower, and I think I have a Sims problem.

Welcome FrostFlower! Guess mine is worse, because I burst out laughing while on a date with my husband and he asked what was so funny, and I told him he reminded me of Matthew Hamming. Then I had to make a long explanation.
