CAS issues: always loading portrait, can't save household.

When I'm making a new family in CAS, I have this problem where their portrait turns into the loading icon--as though they're refreshing--but I never get their portrait to load and when I try to save the family to the library, all the pictures are still loading and it's impossible to save the household.

I've tried several things now including starting a brand new game (took out all my prior saves) and I'm still running into this issue. I deleted all my cache files and checked all my mods for compatibility.

I download a lot of CC and mods. Matter of fact, I probably wouldn't even play The Sims at all without them--but I only started having this problem after the Dec. patch.

I have this odd feeling it has something to do with certain households I've downloaded from the gallery, but for the life of me, I don't understand why. Since The Sims 4 doesn't download CC you don't already have, I can't figure out why some sims are freezing up CAS like that. If I place them onto a lot directly from my library, I seem to have no problem changing them in full edit mode...

I don't know if anyone has run into anything like this, but the way I'm having to accomplish making new households is a pain. So, if anyone knows, I would appreciate it.

Hi GirlPrada,

It sounds like what the problem might be is something isn't compatible with the game. Whether that be a mod or a piece/some custom content.

The best suggestion I'm able to find is to take out the mods and cc and put them back one at a time, until you find which mod or cc that may be conflicting or causing problems with your game.

Since then, I've gone through my mods with a fine tooth comb and stumbled across a few that weren't compatible with the new patch. I've also installed Outdoor Retreat now.

I really hope Delphy--or anyone else--can create a Dashboard program for TS4 soon.

I have the same exact problem. When I want to save household, I have to save it to my library but it never stopes loading. Then I close the game in task manager and run it again. The household is in my library but when I play it, it never shows the portrait. I have to many mods in the game to test them one at the time. I tryed to merge them all in one because I thought that's the problem, but I just made it worse - bunch of my mods disappeared. Don't know what to do.

Move your mods folder to the desktop and try loading the game. It maybe the mods that are causing the loading issues. Specially if some of them are outdated mods.
