Okay, I don't know why, but seeing as the earliest I can get LN is next Friday, I'm anxious for information. Anything and everything you know about vampires and hot tubs please!  ::) ;D :o

There is a thread about vampires here:

http://www.carls-sims-3-forum.com/index.php/topic,2220.0.html

There is no specific thread about hot tubs, but there is this thread:

http://www.carls-sims-3-forum.com/index.php/topic,2272.0.html

and you might find mention of them in this thread too:

I just moved my sims to the penthouse with the hot tub.  I discovered you can pretty much do all of the Romantic socials while in the tub (even Try for Baby).  The WooHoo animations are pretty funny. :)  Oh, and you can also skinny dip in it.

If you have more specific hot tub-related questions I will try to answer them.  I'm sure the sims won't mind... in fact they seem to rather enjoy it!

@Bellalupa:

I changed the name of your subject for this thread to just "Hot Tubs."  We don't need duplicate threads about vampires.

So far since I have been playing I have seen three different kinds of hot tubs. The regular one we all see alot, the zen type one with the plants, and my celebrity sim was just gifted a grotto type hot tub that I have not seen in buy yet.

It looks like we can't have private roof hot tubs.  I'm a bit disappointed by that.

I tried to put a hot tub on the deck of a penthouse and it said something about the city or building owner does not condone this. I thought we bought the apartments not rented them-so we should be able to add hot tubs.

I did notice that in Matthew Hamming's house he has a hot tub on the second floor, but under it is some ugly thing I guess that holds the hot tub up or at least is supposed to.

Read my other thread titled "Where to get your roof top hot tub".

One other thing I just noticed:  even in the penthouse that came with a hot tub, if I tried to move it around, I was not able to put it back in its original place.

In other words, there's no way they could have installed it at all without using a cheat code.  I don't know which cheat code to use, but I'm sure someone does.

I'm just posting this picture again because I really like it.   Woohoo in roof top hot tub at night with view of city skyline.  That must be like, the best thing ever.

And it's sort of relevant. :)

What I know about hot tubs:

Sims can "get in" or "skinny dip" in hot tubs.  Once inside, they can switch seats, change the lighting color, and perform all of the romantic socials they can perform in a bed.  Sims in the hot tub get the "oh..buuuuuubles" moodlet, which looks pretty cute.

If a sim goes skinny dipping, there is a chance that someone will steal his clothes.  This leads to an "embarassed" moodlet and causes the sim to wear a towel until they change clothes at a dresser.  It doesn't seem to matter if the sim is at home (mine went to bed in the towel!) or tries to change clothes to another outfit.

Pregnant sims cannot get in the hot tub.
