Reset Town?

Hi, does the reset town (or whatever it's called) reset everything including the families? How about a playable family, do they get reset as well? How about hidden islands that have been discovered? I guess I'm just asking what all gets reset. Thanks!

Every single person in the town gets reset.

Well, one good thing this did was get rid of the stuck police officer I had after one of the kids stayed out after curfew!

If I remember correctly, yes when you use resetsim * it resets not only the whole town, but all the sim families, animals, cars and playable families.

I'm not sure about what it resets in Island Paradise, as I haven't really dug into that one.

I went ahead and did it anyway and it reset all the sims in town and as I said above, it cleared off a stuck police officer on my lot who had come when one of the kids stayed out after curfew. so one good thing came of it!   For my other problem (as posted in the IP forum and maybe the mermaid thread), I just went ahead w/the cheat.

The resetSim * resets the whole town's Sims unless you have opted your current family out in Master Controller.

I prefer the Master Controller reset everything, which is an option on the Town Hall - and that resets OBJECTS as well as Sims, which is sometimes necessary. I like to do that every couple of RL days, in the large Worlds I play in, it really helps.

But whatever works
