Sims 4 coming to Mac on February 17, 2015

As you can tell from the subject line, Sims 4 is coming to the Mac on Feb 17, 2015.

Good news, Mac Simmers!

 Today, we confirm that the Mac version of The Sims 4 will be released next month, February 2015. If you already own The Sims 4 on PC, you will be able to activate the Mac version at no additional cost (and vice versa). If you don’t already own The Sims 4, you can buy it at any time and then activate the Mac version when we make it available in February.

What should be as pleasing is that Mac Users should receive the content at the same time as others on PC in the future:

Mac users will receive all content currently available on PC and in the future simultaneously with PC.

This is indeed great news. I am tired of rebooting into Bootcamp on my iMac to play Sims.

I'm sorry to hear that. 

At least the new content should be available for Macs at the same time as the PC.  If I get a more definite date, I will post it

You think it did or you know it did? If you think it did maybe this will put your mind at ease. It's a few years old but I don't see why it would not still apply. When I mentioned I was tired of rebooting I was mainly addressing the time issue, etc - not that I was worried about any wear on the hardware.

The last time I tried playing sims 3 on my top of the line Mac, the game crash non-stop.  I had to go back and use my old windows PC to play sims 3 ... so sad.

I know it did because my computer was extremely slow and has shut off randomly since I installed it. I'm not even able to access windows. That's just me though. Doesn't apply to everyone else. I did research and found out there was something wrong with the disc I bought from amazon. I knew what you are addressing, but I have frustrations with it as well and I wanted to share them.

Okay for those of you wanting a release date the Sims UK are saying the Mac version of the Sims 4 will be coming out Feb. 17, 2015

For the curious, those who play on Mac should be able to download a Mac version of The Sims 4.  Additionally, future content like Get to Work will be available in the same format on the same day.
