Buying Cars in Bridgeport

Has anyone been able to buy a car while living in a high rise?  There's no place to put the parking spot that I can see.  And with no parking spot, there can be no car.

With their transit system I imagine they believe they don't need parking or cars.  I would try making space in an apartment, putting down a parking spot, buy a car, put car in inventory and delete parking spot.  Wonder if that would work?

Yeah.  I was hoping to find some kind of underground parking, but no luck.  Looks like only the regular houses will have space for cars.

One of the high rise apartment buildings has a small garage and one outdoor parking space next to it. It's Beachwood Springs, located right across the street from the default location for the fire house.

Once CAW is updated for LN, I plan on completing redoing Riverview, and one of those plans is two high-rise apartments connected by a parking garage structure of some sort. I *think* I can get all that of that fit.

WOOT!  Pam, it works!  I bought the same apartment you have, laid a floor down where open loft space is, moved the bedroom furniture there temporarily.  Put down a parking spot in the bedroom, bought my cars, put them in inventory, deleted the parking spot.  Drove off to lessons.  hehehe

You know there are only 12 open residences in Bridgeport?  I counted them, and THINK I got them all.  I'm going to up the motherlode ante and see if I missed any.  This included high priced, single family dwellings.

Guess what else works?  Moveobjects on!  I could put a parking space right on top of everything and then a car right on top of that.  I got her a Twizy and I don't know why.

I've been playing the Art Central household and two of the Sims came with their own cars.  I have no idea where they park them.  I guess they stay in their inventories all the time?

Is it possible to add parking outside of the apartment? I haven't tried to but when I was in buy mode it looked as if you could add things outside of the apartment itself like the outer area and then the lobby areas. Is that not possible?

My Sim moved into the Floodgate High-rise building and I saw a garage with two open parking spots.

My klepto sim stole a car from one of the other buildings that has parking spots. Driving in style since then.

One of the buildings has an outside balcony . I just put the parking spot there , bought the car , put it in my inventory and then deleted the parking spot . It's much quicker to get around town with a car than the transit .
