Daycare career issues...HELP!

My sim is in the daycare career and at first everything started out fine for the first week but then on her last day of the week the parents never came to pick up the two toddlers she was watching. They stayed all through the weekend and then right before she would have started her next work day they just disappeared. Then when her work day officially started the parents came and dropped them off again like normal (which was only minutes later), and then once again at the end of the day they didn't come back to pick them up again. This time I decided to try the reset sim cheat and it worked to clear the children from my sims house but the parents still never come to pick them up. I also tried quitting the career and then restarting it again but that didn't change anything either. I would just reset them everyday but ever since the first day the parents didn't come to pick up the toddlers my sim is no longer gaining any job experience nor receiving the reports from parents or any kind of promotions. So basically I cant advance in the career whatsoever right now and I really really want to try this career. Has anyone else had this happen to them or does anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to correct this problem???

I wish I had a solution for you, but I haven't had this problem.  But then again, I don't think she's ended the week by working the last day.  She keeps ... um ... getting pregnant before the week's over (lol).  If I come across the problem and find a solution, I'll certainly share!

The problem I have had instead is my sim getting stuck carrying a toddler.  I have to watch the time closely so that she's not holding anyone when it's time for the daycare to close.  If she is, she gets suck holding the kid, even though the parent shows up to get him/her.  My sim will appear to be going somewhere, running out to the road as if leaving, but her status bar shows only that she's holding the kid.  She gets the path blocked bubble but continues to stand at the road, holding the kid, trying to do something.  I can reset her and she's fine until the next time she's holding a kid at quitting time.  I don't know about career gain though for that kid.  I'll have to pay attention the next time I slip and let it happen.

The only suggestion I can come up with is to try moving to another town. Perhaps it's a glitch with the career in whatever town you are in. I've had a lot of problems pop up on various files of mine and I've managed to solve most of them by moving to another town. If that works, you can try moving back to your original town. Chances are, it will still be fixed.
