I'm working on a server issue and wanted to let you all know that I'm likely the cause of any hiccups you experience All is well, just taking care of something minor that may cause the occasional error message to appear. I will try to get it over with as quickly as possible. IF you get a 403 error and cannot get in for an extended period of time, do let me know via the email shown on the error screen.

Ok, all done for the day. I will be looking for times when the server inappropriately forbids someone from doing an action. I've got a lot of common ones fixed, now it's just to look for the uncommon and try to prevent them from happening. Posting, logging in, and all that should be fine now. Sorry for the intermittent outages. You can expect a few brief (10-30sec) outages tomorrow as I go through logs looking for errors visitors have experienced. Thanks for your patience and I look forward to getting back to guide writing after the holidays

If you receive Forbidden errors when posting, please PM me and I'll investigate your IP.

I've definitely tracked down some of the potential errors and prevented them from troubling our users, but cannot possibly find all of them. Sending me information like this can save me a lot of time.

If you are going to post a rather long story update, please save a copy in notepad just in case you get an error and your browser forgets your post. This is good policy anyway, because you never know when you could have a problem with your browser and lose all that typing! I'm sorry if this has happened to anyone lately and it was our server's fault. I have to take the blame for that. I'm doing some important tuning and must do it, else I wouldn't bother to trouble you folks with these things.

There may be those 10-30 second outages I mentioned, but if you check back within a couple of minutes we should be online again. Thanks for your patience, and to any new members please know this isn't the norm around here
