Moving to new town

I moved out a YA sim. Then moved her to another town. Before the move an alert came up asking to save etc., which I did. It also said her lifetime happiness, wishes would be removed but would retain relationships. Okay fine. I move her to Bridgeport. She no longer has any connection to her family in Twinbrook, all her old friends are gone as well. Is this supposed to happen? Thanks for your advice.

Are you sure you read that right? As I recall it says wishes, opportunities, and relationships will be lost.

I quit the game and did the move again and it did say relationships would be removed
