Roommate
« on: December 18, 2014, 03:00:32 PM »
I have a few question about roommates on Sims3 I have all the expansion installed, i have played for a long time this game but for the first time I wanted to have a roommate in the house.

So I asked a friend to be roommates, she said yes. But when she got to the house she didn't move, sleep or eat. She only moves when I call her. But stay there until I call her back. I see her in my friend list as roommate, but CAN'T control her, she is a NPC in the house. I have 100% free will turn on. and nothing happens..

Is there a way to make her move by her own, Is this a glinch? Or i'm gonna have to get rid off her.  And If I do how I can do it.

Thanks

Try resetsim Firstname Lastname first.

Lisa46, I tried the resetsim option twice but it didn't work.

My roommate is just not responding.. I think the problem was that I didn't ask her to move in I just ask her to be my roommate? And of course the game doesn't give me the option to move in, because she's already a NPC household.

I also tried going on vacation for 3 day and when I got back she was still where I left her.  >:(

This is what I know.. The roommates are NPC. If you want to control them you need to ask to move in. The options for roommates came with university life, in which I played in a sorority house and that's how the sorority girls were, just standing around until time to go to class. To get them to sleep, I assigned them a bed, and when they get exhausted they went to sleep.

Thanks jodysuzanne, I guess roommates are boring then.
I really don't want to control her. But to see someone just standing around is freakin' scaring me. Then I guess The only options that I have are to ask her to move in and control her or just  get rid off her.
I really don't know what's the point in having someone in the house that doesn't do anything at all. That's weird.

To me sounds like the sim is glitched out as my sim's roommate is actually moving.

You may want to go in edit town, split household and then move them out and then into whichever house you want them to be in and the should unstick as sometimes reset sim doesn't work.
