[BUG] Sims Can't Cook/Fridge [Possible Fixes]

I frequently have fridge problems which mean that I cannot manually move stuff into the fridge (like a just cooked platter of food or harvested items from the Sim's inventory) or where my Sim cannot use the fridge.

So far in Sims 4 I have been able to fix by deleting and buying a new fridge but I can only do this as I frequently give my household a helping hand with extra Simoleons!

Useful to know other possible solutions.  Thanks

This problem seems to come and go. I see the cooking icon go to the queue then it disappears instantly.

So far when it happens I only need to save, exit the game completely and reload. I can't pin it down on a particular cause, it happens randomly.

I look over the stickied bug reports from time to time to see if there's a work-around, fix or new information.

Just thought I'd mention that since I have made sure that no stack of fruit or vegetable exceeds 80 or so I have not encountered this bug again. I used to have stacks of 99+ in the fridge so maybe that was the cause of me getting this bug daily!
