Yule Tidings
« on: December 17, 2014, 06:01:15 PM »
Well, the new release seemed a fitting time to officially begin an immortal dynasty.   Said beginning is posted at http://ginj-yuletidings.blogspot.com.  It's in the form of a holiday letter, since most of the story seems to be mentioning progress on the requirements and accomplishments.  :)

What a great format for your dynasty. Good luck!  :)

I like the format, simple but effective.  I love that it's like you're writing home to family.

Fitting theme, considering that it's less than a week to Christmas Day. Happy Holidays to you too.  ;D
I play The Sims 4 for fun, so I don't care if I never end up being interviewed for the Dynasty Hall of Fame; people who play for keeps burn out too easily and don't enjoy playing the games, so I am going to not sweat the details.

@Playalot, Thank you.  I hope I can do a fraction as well as you at keeping up with both a legacy and a dynasty.

@Margerita, Thanks for the eoncouragement.  I've never played a dynasty before; had planned to hold off on the story until seeing how the game went.

@Whirligig, Thanks! It was the idea for the holiday letter format that inspired me to think "I *can* do this".

@MarianT, Thanks! I hope it works out for her to have an up close and personal encounter with Gordon later on.

@dethdukk, Thanks! I'm excited about getting to keep the same narrator through the whole story.  It's a challenge in legacies when just when I've found a narrator's voice, I have to start over with a new one.

@EtnaFan666, Thank you.  It's now only five days away.  What am I doing playing Sims?!? Fortunately, the in-laws won't come until Boxing Day.

Chapter 2 is up at http://ginj-yuletidings.blogspot.com.

Congratulations on finding the Cherry tree!  It doesn't seem to exist in my world. Any luck with an Angelfish yet?  If you're on the unpopulated 50x50 lot (the one the Landgraabs aren't on), I find that the 2 fishing spots on the river have pretty decent rates.

Oh my! You must have fished up a pomegranate to be able to make your ambrosia without a cherry tree cutting.  I've found them in Oasis Springs behind the Landgraab's house and following the trail into the park to near the abandoned mine in a couple of different games but I'm playing in Willow Creek.

Yep, Cherry trees are in Oasis springs. In mine it's in the playground area across the street from the Roomies household.

Best of luck bringing your founder through the culinary career. :-) I think it's a good choice for that first generation. :-)

LOL, I loved the reference of the real people here. At the moment I was wondering who is Gordon Simsay and then I just ooohed when I found out. I also liked the new format in your story.  It’s very friendly and made me hungry, lol.

Good luck with your Immortal Dynasty!

Happy holiday for you too, Ginj! :)
