Error 529 and 526 Failed to Save + Can't Save Game

I can't save my game normally (either through Save or Save as).  Every time I do, it comes up with that error.  From what I've been able to find, it started with a glitched card table.  This was error 529.  So I found a topic on the Sims 4 forum about it and did what they said, which was to go through Manage Worlds and hit Save and go to Manage Worlds.  That saved alright.  Go back to the household and then boom, there comes 526.  I'm not sure what to do about it.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Suggestions are:

1. Save family and house to the library.
2. Exit the game, clear the game caches and localthumb.package from the Sims 4 folder
3. Play in offline mode.
4. Start a new game with the saved family.
5. Go back to a previous save, from before the problem occurred.

1. Try going to a different lot and save there or save from manage world.
2. Use Save As and save under a new name.

Thank you for the swift reply, Mrs. Flynn!  The file that this happened with was an Immortal Dynasty file so I will have to get permission from the challenge team to do that.  Thank you once again for the help though.  Greatly appreciated ^^

Shewolf, thanks for starting this thread. I had an error code, too, but didn't know it was caused by the card table. I seem to have come out okay, but the next time I start my game, the card table is going.

I hope you can delete it.  During the 529 error, I couldn't delete the table.  It would come up as invalid object during buy/build mode.  Once I saved through Manage Worlds, I tried to delete it.  It seemed to work fine, but then went to save and I got hit with the 526.  Saved through Manage Worlds again and then would go back in and the table is still there...

Just wanted to document what I tried.  Saved the lot to gallery and just wanted to bulldoze the lot and see if that did it.  I couldn't even bulldoze the lot.  It kept coming up as object not found.  So it really does appear as if the only solution is to save the family, the house, and start over.  Just makes it hard for a challenge.  Just thought I would share more of my findings here.

I got some huge error code that started with 529 and a string of numbers etc. I actually had put two card tables in the nightclub. I made my sims travel home and then tried to save, and it worked. The card tables had been glitchy so I then went back to delete them, but they had disappeared anyway. That was a while ago, and my save has been fine since.

Yeah, they have long strings of numbers.  I've deleted them I don't know how many times but every time I go back, they're there again.

Go somewhere else, then come back to your lot.

I did that, it doesn't work.  Unfortunately, everything I tried with this was a no-go.   Once you get the 529, then the 526, you just have to take your family and your house, save it to the gallery, then start a new game with them.  Or go back to an earlier save if you have any.

I have the same problem.  Any idea if I can delete the troublesome card table?

Nope, I tried repeatedly.  Do you have an earlier save?

Have you tried to use testingcheats on cheat and shift+click the object to see if you can reset it?  Then maybe delete it?  I haven't had an issue with the card table so I can't seem to recreate the problem.

Are any of you using CC or mods?

No custom content or mods.  Found a rogue drink under the table that seemed to be 'connected' in some way. 

I tried a number of things - like removing the connected chairs so the card table was on it's own.  Still couldn't delete the table and also couldn't save.

Got there in the end though...  I enabled cheats (not sure if this is relevant though) Tried to debug the table but still couldn't delete then noticed the drink under the table. Tried to debug that, then tried to get someone to clean it up and had to debug them.  Then dragged the drink to a trash can and that worked. With the drink gone I could then delete the table!!

I can now save (and have done so!!)
