But does he have the capacity to be an even deeper man than that?

He was also the son of Tegan Waverly and Hephaestus Waverly.

I actually consider it barely a spoiler because Phil is obviously Heph's son. Aside from times when he was built up (like when I saved him to the bin, I guess), he was very thin, like Heph, and got his hair color from his grandpa Tay.
