Does this mean the expansion is allowed except for herbalism?  Or are you still looking into it?

Yes, you have a green light for having the expansion and going on vacation in this particular challenge if you so wish. The time line matches up when you leave and return from vacation which is a big deal. It all comes down to finishing when you hit Adult and as far as we can see the expansion or going on vacation does not impact that in any way.

I ended up with household funds of $272,875.

Thanks for bringing the challenges to sims 4!

To me it seems like it would be unfair if people used anything from Outdoor Survival as their main way of making money.  I know there are some possibilities other than herbalism for people to do this.  What do all of you running the challenge think about this?

ClayMask - unless you know of a potential exploit to make money while on vacation, then the team sees no reason to ban the GamePack content for this event. But, do not discuss this in this thread. Please PM the team with details.

The team just made a decision based on new information to ban Outdoor Retreat for this event. I do not think anyone's current score is affected. Nutella obviously posted her score before the pack was even released. If you posted your score and used certain content of the GamePack then you can start over - free pass. Otherwise, do not even worry about your score. If you have the GamePack and have not started, fine - just do not ever go on vacation and you'll be ok.

  • The Outdoor Retreat GamePack is banned for this event.

Now I'm very curious what you can do with that to earn a lot of money :-) I guess we will know after the event :-)

Just wanted to say thank you to all you guys in this forum. This is the first forum I've ever signed up for and I've been playing since the beginning. Anyways I was having trouble playing the new Sims 4 because it's still really basic and lacks quite a few thing but these challenges give me a reason to want to sign on. Wish me luck and again thank you!
