I think this will be a tough challenge now that the careers are easier, good luck!

I haven't decided yet if I will restart. I might do a test on an old save to see if careers are less frustrating for me. If they are, then I might go ahead and redo it.

Hey, team. The most recent patch notes state this: "Fixed an issue that prevented career progress from properly tracking the Sims skill progression towards career goals."

I don't know how much this will change career progression because I haven't played with it much yet, but it sounds like careers will not take 4-5 days to progress to the next level even when all requirements are complete. This seems like a pretty big game-changer for this challenge, so I'm wondering if those of use who already started playing the scoring file or submitted scores will get to retry or something? I'm not sure if this is necessary because I don't know how drastic the changes are yet, but it could be a possibility.
Thank goodness! I'm happy that is fixed. I had a feeling something like that would happen, so I was holding out. Now I can give this one a go when I have some time!

I can't wait to give this a try! I'm notoriously bad at abandoning game files before completion, but hopefully I'll be able to manage this. It sounds like a lot of fun!

2 job caps = (1200 x 2) = 2400
6 - 9 = none (got them both to level 5  :( was so close to lvl 6! :P)
24 rewards x 0.05 = 1.2. Final multiplier =  1.00 + 1.20 = 2.20

My total: 2400 x 2.20 = 5280

A bit dissapointing to be honest  :P I had some trouble maxing out the careers. Sometimes their progress even went backwards  :o Still had a lot of fun though!

since this challenge restarted, I gave it another shot:

2 job caps = (1200 x 2) = 2400
6 - 9 = one to lvl 6 = 200
44 rewards x 0.05 = 2.2 Final multiplier = 1.00 + 2.20 = 3.20

My new total is: 2600 x 3.20 = 8320

Still not amazing, but since I got the chance to do it over i thought I'd try a different strategy and it makes my final score a bit higher so I'm happy enough :)

I've never been good at challenges...so naturally I'm going to try this.  Because logic has failed me.  I'll report back my score (which is sure to be awful)!

Just a reminder: If you had already posted your score or started your file for this event before last week's big patch that impacted the job performance meter, then you are free to restart. The closing date for this event will not change.

Thank you team, for allowing a restart!  I was so frustrated during my first attempt.  I have restarted and hope to finish it up today or tomorrow.  So, thanks again!

*headdesk* I finished today... and am so frustrated...  I did only marginally better...

Careers capped: 1*1200= 1200
Lvl 6-9: 4*200= 800
Rewards: 20*.05= 1+1= 2
Total: (1200+800)*2= 4000

*sigh*

Well I've finished... again!

Done a little better than before

Maxed 2 careers = 2400
One to L6 = 200
One to L7 = 400

Collected 38 objects = (1.9+1) = 2.9

So 3000 x 2.9 = 8700

Hope my maths is correct. Good luck to everyone else  :D

I made a couple of mistakes...

Finished - 1 -- 1200
Level 6 -  1 --   200
Level 7 -  1 --   400

Sub total -- 1800

Career rewards -- 37 x.05 = 1.85 + 1 = 2.85

1800 x 2.85 = 5130.

This challenge is taking me far longer than I expected. Was hoping to do most of it this long weekend, but homework took up most of my time.  :-\  Hopefully I can complete it in time!

You should be fine - 3 more weeks. :) I need to get my booty in gear too.

I have a long weekend this coming weekend. I am away to the coast for the weekend for it. I intend to sit in my room on my laptop and get this one done then. That is the plan, anyway ...
