Thank you for a great story.
I had a good chuckle when you posted your "OH WAIT, I UNDERSTAND THE INTERNET NOW" comment in your post-story story (page 2).
Since then, a month has passed but that comment still suddenly crosses my mind at odd moments, after which I laugh out loud to myself.
Maybe I could wear a headset at all times so people around me would think I'm on the phone?

@Nettlejuice - Thanks Nettle!  I've been pretty lucky with all my spouses so far.  Also as for the fireplace:  It seems safe enough as long as there isn't anything flammable within range of it.  I had it running a good 2-3 sim days before Kell caught himself on fire... with the fire prevention upgrades and a sprinkler system on it, I think it would be fine.  Sprinklers... that's what I forgot in this house lol.

@Shewolf13 - Rhiannon has been a lot of fun!  She's kept pretty busy on her own.  I'm hoping she doesn't get too mean when Ray turns into a kid.  I haven't had any experience with Child Haters yet, so I'm not sure what to expect.  I have a trench coat of my own actually, I just wish I looked as good as Nick does in his!

@Playalot  - For an Evil Mastermind, he really doesn't hide his emotions well...  You'd think that having to deal with all manner of criminals and agents would help with that.

@oshizu - Thank you for reading!  It's always great to hear that someone has enjoyed it, makes the time and effort I put in well worth it.  Glad that ones stuck with you, I giggling over it as I wrote it.

@KTK10 - I did indeed!  I've been really lucky with spouses so far, all of them have worked out really well, no fighting, no really bad trait rolls... I'm still waiting for the time when a spouse rolls out Mean on her third trait.

Richard:  Huuuurgrarg!
Ken:  No, just keep your back straight.  Pull with your arms, not your stomach...  also you might want to lower the weight a bit.



Ken:  Good job dear, your forms looking much better!  Remember to keep your wrist locked so you don't injure it.




Shayla:  Who's the cutest little nooboo?  You are!



Richard:  Certainly the stinkiest little nooboo anyways.

Shayla:  What is it Watcher?

I swear your kid poops more than all the other nooboos I've ever seen combined.
Rhia:  Aw, thats just because he wants all the attention he can get, yes he does!



Man with all the mentoring you have to do for your job everyone in the house is going to be super fit.
Ken:  Good thing we've got so many people in here though.  I'd hate to have to go to the gym every day just to get my work done.

I've started Watching another household where that's very likely to not only be a reality, but a recurring one...  I fear for my sanity.




Kell:  So whats the difference between being a newborn and being old?  When you're old, you have to change your own diaper!





Rhia:  I love you nooboo, but I'm so happy you're growing up now.

I really enjoy your story a lot. Yeah, I tend to get babies in Sims 4 who need diaper changes every day. Ick. That's why I decided to remain childless in real life forever. (Also, I have the income of a child too so I cannot afford to raise children or get married.)

Don't get bummed if you can't have Shayla get pregnant before growing old. Sometimes that happens. You could probably recreate her in CAS for another story when the challenge is over. (I don't think you can make her young again without a cheat.) At least she's happy with her husband. You have to focus on the Immortals.

You alright Ken?  You look a little down.
Ken:  Yeah, just feeling a bit under the weather.  Depression and all, you know.
I do.  You should go do something you know.  Trying to wait it out will only make it worse.





Ken:  Say watcher, were you ever into sports?
I used to play soccer when I was younger.  Really though I was never coordinated enough to be any good at it.






Ken:  So what happened when the Easter Bunny got his ears caught in the fan?
Vicky:  What?
Ken:  He cut ears off his life!
Vicky:  HAH!  Oh no no no that's bad.  Terrible.  Hehe.





Any luck kid?
Ray:  I thought I was doing well, but I think grandpa's just messing with me.
Nick:  I would never do such a thing. *grins*



Hey Ken, your father is baiting your kid into thinking he has a chance of winning.  Maybe you should go help.
Ken:  You know, if I could beat my father at chess I just might.  Maybe I can distract him enough that Ray can cheat his way to victory though...
What is it with you guys and cheating at chess?





Kell:  So what's the plan Nick?  I know you want to keep your schemes to yourself but if you want the agency to keep out of your work, you know we need to at least know whats going on and why.
Nick:  I don't have much going on recently actually.  Got a couple new gangs that have popped up around the immediate area that I'm working out a deal with, nothing the agency needs to be worried about.
Kell:  Hm.  Well keep me informed.  Vicky, you need any help with those dishes?

Ken:  One of Saturn's moons.  Titan I think.  Looks pretty cool doesn't it?

Vicky:  Nick, I just wanted you to know...  I'm getting pretty old.  I don't think I have much time left here.
Nick:  I know Vicky.  I'm at peace with it.  The Watcher says that he has something planned for us all, we just have to wait.

Chapter Twenty One



Ken:  Alright, so I can't help you win by distracting your grandfather anymore... so I'll have to teach you how to cheat on your own.
...  Really.





And so the Cycle of Life continues.  Rhia will break.  Shayla will cry.  Rhia, get over here and fix your handiwork.



Robot:  *unmentionable words*
Shayla:  Whoh!  What in the world...  I'm not sure that this toy is um...  family friendly. 
Nick and Rhia:  *attempting to hold in laughter*
Did you guys mess with the recording?
Nick:  Noooo.  We would never do such a thing.  Heh.
Oy.  Lets go Nick, we need to finish the rest of your requirements.  Getting kind of long in the tooth.



Nick:  So what's the plan Watcher?
Make some friends Nick.  And do hurry, we started this a little later than I'm comfortable with.
Nick:  Sounds fun.  Hey Dillon, how have you been?
Dillon:  Oh I'm doing great Mr. Knethen.  You here to workout?
Nick:  More to help others do so.









Ray:  You think grandpa will be surprised?
Ken:  Probably.  Now remember, I have to go mentor some people, and you need to make some friends.  Try not to be distracted okay?













Alright, so lets look at our results...  Ken, done with daily work.  Nick, almost done gaining friends.  Ray...  Done with homework and happy that he got to hang out with his dad and grandpa.  Well...  kids will be kids.



Ray:  Daddy, is Watcher mad at me?



Ken:  Oh no, he just forgot that sometimes you just don't have the time to do everything you want to.  Don't worry buddy.





Ken:  If you're worried, you should go to the park and make some new friends!  But for now, go do your extra credit.
Ray:  Kay!



Ray:  Hey, what are mom and grandpa doing to the dollhouse?



Nick:  Get it Rhia!  Kick down that supporting wall!  Break the floors, empty the pool!  MUAHAHAHAHA!



Rhia:  Yeah, we totally destroyed that thing.  Good job Nick.
Nick:  You too, that was fun.
Alright... and now
Nick:  Fix it, yeah yeah I got it.  Why are you always around anyways!

The exercise suit you mean?  yeah lol.  I'm sure it's at least fairly accurate to real-world outfits, but it really does look ridiculous haha.

Nicks been picking up a taste for it.  Surprising, most sims seem to be okay with it.

Chapter Twenty Two







Kell:  Vicky died earlier this week.  Everyone knew it was coming of course, but I have to admit... it still hit me pretty hard.







Kell:  Ray didn't seem to affected by it.  When his dad asked him, he said that he was sure she'd come back someday.









Kell:  Ken was pretty upset, but Rhia made sure that he didn't have too much time to dwell on it.





Kell:  Still, everyone was in pretty good spirits when Richard and Shayla announced their big news!







Kell:  He took the news significantly better than I did when Ali told me about her pregnancy with Nick.







Kell:  Nick was able to complete his requirements for the ambrosia just in time.  He said something about being happy that he could "continue to influence the world".







Kell:  And Richard had his Elder birthday shortly after that.  I have to admit, I'm not looking forward to my son dying.  I know the Watcher has plans for this, but it still means I won't see him again for years to come. 





Kell:  I will always have Nick though.  Being able to work with him through the agency has definitely brought us closer together.  I enjoy being able to spend time with him.  And of course, I'll always have Ken and Ray too.  Ray reminds me a lot of a younger me...  Full of confidence, even if it isn't deserved, heh.  I look forward to meeting the rest of my family to come.
