Is there a cheat to change price of house?

Is there a cheat to change the price of a house? I was doing a remodel of a large house and moved it to a different lot to work on it, however moving lots made the house cost next to nothing. Can I change it to it's original cost? Thanks in advance!

There is no way that I know of. I've never had a house change prices dramatically when it is moved...

Every time I use the "move" option to move a house from one lot to another it looses value. This house belongs to a family and when I out them it it they basically became millionaires and I would like to change that.

If you want to change how much money they have, you can always do the 'Money X' cheat.

Sorry. I didn't understand what you fully meant. When you said this part:

I thought you meant that when you moved your family, they became millionaires, then I thought you could do the money cheat.

Sorry, you're right I didn't explain well. What happened was a moved the O'Connell's from dragon valley out of their home and moved their home to a different lot, fixed the house up, then moved the house back to the lot. When I plopped the family back in, the house was cheap and they had tons of $$$$$$ left over! I was hoping I could bring their cash level down a bit...

Opening a new file and placing the home put it at it's original cost, which is ultimately what I wanted. Thanks for the replies!

The quickest way to lower the price is to sell some of the furniture. You can do that before you move in by entering Build/Buy mode from Edit Town.

For future reference, anyone with this problem could move to the house and then use the "testingcheatsenabled true" cheat and then use "family funds x s" x= the name of the household from the start of the game and s= the amount of simoleons you want them to have.

I guess the devaluation happens because the objects is seen as used. If you buy a fridge that cost 5,000 it would drop after you have left the buy mode. The problem is if you have played a file, the price got wonky after literally you played for 1minute in Sim Second. Placing before you play any sim thankfully didn't have this problem because time didn't move yet.
