The Van Haanrath Immortal dynasty - 2 Immortals, 6 more to come
« on: November 16, 2014, 03:04:16 PM »
Ah time to start posting again, I'm playing it slowly at the moment since I don't want Rafiqa to be an elder before I buy the two extra parties, but I do also very much want to play this dynasty.

1. Meet Rafiqa

New founder, new gender, new career, new aspirations.
Everything but the lot is new.

First thing to do is to go out and look for housemates, she will need someone to take care of the garden.
And also someone to cook for the household.

When she went to the library she met Katrina Calliente, hmmm that sounds good to me - a husband plus 3 helpers.
Let's go after her. :D

By early afternoon her relationship with Katrina was high enough to ask her to move in with her daughters and Don.

Since the spouse and helpers are in the house it is time to get the writing block part of the aspiration done and over with.

Oh my the money issues are over with it seems...
Time to build a nice house for all of them, one I won't hopefully need to expand for a long time.

Dina will do the main cooking for the household.
Rafiqa will however cook her own meals most of the time since I plan for her to max both regular and gourmet cooking on top of the writing I'm planing for her to do.

Katrina's low skill at playing guitar caused Rafiqa to become tense enough that the writers block was very soon achieved.

Wooing Don isn't difficult since he is such a romantic, they are sweet together too.

Love your new founder, and great idea moving all those helpers in!  I also have Don as a founder spouse.. I think after reading a few stories on the forum our lovely Don Lothario might be the new Christopher Steel!!  ;D Can't wait to keep reading and good luck.

She is isn't she. :D
Her slightly red eyes are my favorite part of her, might do a really close close up of  her so that you guys can see them more clearly.

Don is proving to be very good so far, and the Calliente trio is turning out wonderfully as well.
I pick the spouse by heading out to a public location strait away and just pick helpers/spouse by whoever show up.

2. Welcome Marko

Rafiqas first date with Don went gold as planed.
When they got home later in the evening from their date I decided it was time for the heir to be made.

I'm surprised by what a talented angler Nina is, she has even caught a few angelfish for ambrosia.

I had intended for Katrina to play for some tips while Rafiqa wrote at the library unfortunately I forgot the guitar at home.
Rafiqa got hungry however and thus they headed off to the park for a meal.
After they ate Rafiqa did some fishing and Katrina decided to look for a boyfriend.
She got lucky and there was a single male sim at the park.
He may not be terribly attractive but he will do for her sense of romance.

I'm still hoping to get lucky and have Rafiqa or someone else catch a pomegranate at the magnolia park.
I love you Don, he just caught the pomegranate!

The second Immortal to be is born!
His name is Marko, unfortunately not green though.

Welcome Marko! Shame he wasn't green, but I'm sure he is going to be gorgeous and might even get the red eyes. Go Nina on getting the Angel fish. Great going so far.  :D

I did promise a close up shot of Rafiqa so you can see her eyes.
Here it is.

3. One more gold medal gained 3 more to go

One baby is so easy to take care of compared to two or three at the same time.
His baby days went by quickly, very quickly. I hope to never see triplets in any dynasty ever again.

He looks a lot like Don honestly. He does have his mothers eye color.
Trying to resist dying his hair another color at the moment.

While she is out fishing Nina takes care of her social need in her own way.

Time to trow the first of hopefully not too many parties.
Woohoo a gold dinner party! One down 3 more to go!

Since I can't move out the Callientes and I would like to add their family to the family tree I'll have Marko have a baby with either Dina or Nina.

Marko needs to play games for his childhood aspiration, his mother is as always writing at her computer, they talk while they use them.

Edit: forgot to add Rafiqas close up

You've got quite a full house, so I think Marko might be enough. :) I never thought of catching a pomegranate. It would have saved a lot of hassle.

Maybe there should be a "children of Don Lothario" thread... I've got him as a second gen spouse. His kids tend to look good.
It is a little thing of my own. I call it "Heart Foam". I shall not publish it. Farewell! Patience, Patience, farewell!

Exit Bunthorne.

Marko is a cutie and I'm glad he got Rafiqa's eyes. You did well to get gold on your dinner party, and I agree... one child is so much easier to look after than the triplets you had in your previous attempt!

That's an interesting idea, moving in all those helpers from the Caliente family. I would be too concerned about having my attention divided between all those sims and not focusing enough on the founder's goals.

And I'm going to echo everyone else in saying that Marko is definitely a cutie. :)

@Heart Foam: I had issues finding a cherry tree in my previous dynasty,  if you didn't read check the grave yard, so I looked up info online and read that you could catch pomegranates at the magnolia park occasionally so I did that then and now.
Much easier for me since there will always fishing sims in this dynasty since we most likely need so much angelfish.

@KTK10 and Whirligig: I think he is cute too, you probably won't find him so cute in the updates after this one but I love him very much and that is all that matters. :D
And regarding the Callientes I knew I would have no problem with that since I wrangled raising 5 kids in my previous dynasty, the Callientes were very easy to handle compared to them...

4. school and other kinds of trouble

Time for the wedding! I hope it is another gold medal.

The wedding party did turn gold, I had 28 minutes of the timer left when it did, but we did it.

Her writing aspiration and career is coming along great at the moment.
She is on the last stage of the best selling author aspiration.
She now earning around 2 thousand a day from royalties and no best sellers published so far.

It is monday a Marko has gotten his A in school and has almost completed his aspiration with 4 days left until he is a teen. He should thank the Callientes for the potions that made sure he never needed to go to sleep. :D

Oh Marko... Apparently someone has been stealing his snacks at school this last week, today he deiceded to add a laxative to his brownie.
If I hadn't already decided on his aspirations this would most likely tempt me to pick them.

Time for Marko to age up into a teen, how time flies by.
As a teen I can see that he is not entirely Don, but has some of Rafiqas features as well.

That bloody toast, it isn't working no matter what I do...

I couldn't resist the hair dyes this time, I like the new color.

Time for Marko to harass the neighbours and for Rafiqa to use their computer to write. :D

Marko is this incredible mixture between both Don and Rafiqa, he is very debonair  ;)  I also thought it was very funny that Don was all dressed up in his suit and Rafiqa was wearing a tank top and some trousers for their wedding.. especially as he is supposed to be the one that has the non committal trait! Really well done.

The shot with Don in a suit and Rafiqa in her favorite everyday wear is my goof, I forgot to have her change clothes before I had Don click on the wedding arch. But is a funny one regardless.

I think I might as well share my planed items for the this dynasty you guys in case you can spot any potential issues with it.

The plan is:
Rafiqa: Writer career author branch and aspiration, angling aspiration,  books museum.
Marko: criminal career - oracle branch, both deviance aspirations.
gen 3: gardening aspiration, tech guru - e-sport gamer, computer whiz aspiration.
gen 4: master mixologist career and aspiration, master chef aspiration.
gen 5: master of the real and painting aspiration, curator aspiration, paintings museum.
gen 6: astronaut career - branch to be decided later, nerd brain aspiration, party animal aspiration.
gen 7: comedian career, joke star aspiration, mansion baron aspiration.
gen 8: music career, musical genius aspiration, serial romantic aspiration.

5. Surprise meeting

Never mind harassing the neighbours tonight, they got a cute teenage daughter and he does need a wife...
He will mess with her parents later, his in laws are going to hate him it seems. :D

Ah multitasking, dinner and insults at the park!

The best part is that despite spending several hours insulting people, he never got angry despite wishing it, flirty - oh yes, playful - definitly, but angry - nope, not at all.

Oh dear, I'm sorry Don, Nina, Dina and Katrina I entirely forgot about their birthdays hence they all got a sad modlet.
