How long does the normal lifespan last?

I am playing on the normal life span and my Sim aged up from young adult to adult after 7 Sim days the baby aged up in less then a day. Also everyone in the household aged up on the same day at exactly the same time. Is it a bug? Have I forgotten to click a button somewhere?

Any help appreciated.

It sounds like you're on short. On normal, the baby takes about 3 days, children and teens 14, and YAs and Adults 20 days.

Thanks Marian it says it's on normal I will toggle it on and off and see if that helps. Gonna have to restart my dynasty but that is no problem.

Also be sure that you aren't playing on other lots with the option for "age non-played lots" turned on.  I discovered that everyone was aging up whenever I played other familes.
