I'm not sure if this is a problem with the expansion or me at this point.  I have gotten two different tasks to do with a place called the "Corsican Bistro"  delivering produce and testing the food for my agent.  Neither time did it offer to show the location, but I cannot see it in town anywhere.

Is this a hidden location, like the bar under the graveyard, or a possible bug?  I know its not the main bistro downtown because my female sim works there.

Has anyone found it or gotten similar tasks with the place?

edit:  I should mention this is Bridgeport, didn't want to assume :)

So far I have not had any issues with it. >knock on wood<

My agent calls and gives me an opportunity and it shows where it is fine. I was prepared for it to crash because I am on a laptop as well, but so far it has not happened either. I just did the new update today, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

I'll try to test that for you in one of my games later today, Joria.

Thanks.  I admit, I did not do the uninstall reinstall thing but I did just go and empty my caches etc.  Having DM difficulties too.  When dh is home we'll go through all the drivers and make sure everything is up to date.  I'm about to give it another shot and see if it was just something I did or did not do.

This is not a problem with Bridgeport but rather SV after installing LN.  I salvaged several items from the junkyard and called the repair person.  After several tries, each of which the repair person arrives, stands around nodding and moving their arms, (per usual), they say they are done, charge the standard fee and walk off, leaving NOTHING repaired.  Since this is one of the ways I cheaply remodel houses and gain income, it's a royal pain.  Anyone else had this problem or know if it's a bug or whatever?

I don't think repairmen are supposed to fix those salvaged items.  I think that was a bug, and they just fixed it.

I just tested this in my existing BB game. Same result. What are we supposed to do with the salvaged items, then? Detonate them?

I think you're probably right. But it's still not clear what purpose the salvaged items are supposed to serve. I'm afraid to detonate them or my house and car might accidentally go up in flames too.

Edit: I used moveobjects on to pile a dozen salvaged items into one spot, then detonated one of them. The rest went up in flames, requiring the fire department to put it out, and all I got were 6 scrap from the one that detonated. I was left with a pile of unfixable junk which I sold for $0.

Also, since the patch I'm noticing it takes much longer to get an infant's social needs met, like 4-5 interactions, then the bar goes down faster once it's full.

I have a Sim who is a mixologist but he can't purchase any properties in Bridgeport. That is one of the criteria to fulfill in Lifetime Wish.

There is also a problem with the bars and clubs being empty even when they're supposed to be the hotspot

@ lucid: the fact your graphic card may not be recommended really doesn't have to mean your laptop isn't capable of handling the game. My laptop s from 2008, originally pursiged for Spore, but is capable of running The Sims (mostly bugless). You may try to defrag your system as well and all that stuff. Pam has written a grat guideline on how to clean up your system before installing anything. I'm sure she or someone else will post a link here to it for you, as I am not capable of doing that myself, on a mobile phone.

I'm also having a problem with getting people to dance with me. I invited some of my friends to a house party and then a bar but I could not get the three of them to dance at the same time

I know this is not really a technical problem, but I was working on a Immortal Dynasty in Bridgeport... and there are no legacy-worthy empty lots! The only empty lots in the town are far too small to be Legacy-legal(there are only two, both less than 50x50); I had to bulldoze a venue to get the required size empty lot. Forget about doing legacies in Bridgeport, they expect you to live in the apartments. :p

Just warning you ahead of time, folks!

I've been doing a legacy in Twinbrook on a 40x40 lot.

My Sims got stuck in the elevator and wouldn't come out. Everything I tried to queue up just disappeared. Anyone else have this happen?

I haven't had that happen, but you can try "testingcheatsenabled true" and then teleport your Sim out of the elevator, if you want a quick-and-dirty fix.  I believe "resetSim" would work too, although I've not had the opportunity to try that option before, so can't say how it works.

I had this as well, and did cheat my way out with a teleport.  I'm sure reset would work as well.

That happened to me as well, but it was because I had formed a group and the one groupie was talking to someone else and so it kept canceling the action to go up the elevator until he was finished because apparently you all have to go up together? :\
