Thanks Trip! (tries to contain excitement from getting a compliment from my favorite author)
Michael wound up living a long, long time, much longer then his brother.  I though I broke death at one point in this game by having too many death flowers in my basement or something.

Chapter 7
Jean Claude

After the wedding things were tense in the household.  So much so that my Carol decided to bring Colette to the cake herself, even though it gave her a negative moodlet, just to distract from the elephant in the room.

My little girl is so much of her family...mom's eyes, mine and dad's hair, and carol's skin tone.  Mom was a little sad about the rounded ears, and muttered something about how she'll 'Have Youpew Xip take care of this one.".  I have no idea who that is, but I thought plastic surgery wasn't allowed?

After seeing my little girl so big, I quit the fishing game and got a real job as a lifeguard.  Ellie looked at me with a knowing smile when I announced my new job, even if Carol was less then impressed with the cut in pay.  With several thousand simolions in the bank and several properties owned, I don't see what pay matters anymore.  Still, I do the occasional cameo to make up for it, my daughter will need to buy properties of her own soon enough.

I rescued Emmy Starr my very first day.  It's nice to feel like my job matters so much, it's so much more fulfilling than acting or fishing.

Mom had her elder birthday hit as she got off of work.  She seemed very grumpy when she got home that night.

The hair wasn't working for her, so she dyed it back.  After all, she still had an on-air career to think about.  Or so she said.  Most of her co-workers that I knew were elders and had no problem showing off their white hair, but whatever.

I think she still looked beautiful, but she said she needed some time to adjust to being old.  I'm an adult, and she has a toddler granddaughter, how did she not see this coming?

Luckily she decided that Colette was needing her sagely wisdom in her toddler training, so she had a wonderful distraction.  Mom was in love with little Lette, and how could she not be, seeing her own eyes staring back at her framed by dad's hair?

She mainly taught her about dynasty related things, but the look of trust on my daughter's face when she was learning to walk and talk told me everything I needed to know about how mom was treating her.

Colette also made antiquates with my dog Maxx, who was very interested in her now that she was out of the crib, if a bit shy of her grabbing toddler hands.

My wife and aunt Marina had their elder birthdays together, even though once upon a time Marina was a day different in age then Carol.

We had one last Snowflake day with uncle Michael, and the party was wonderful, even if mom was mad about something.

She kept Colette with her all day.  I wonder what's up?

Must have been Seb, even if this didn't happen until the next day, after an even worse event.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do if he keeps this up.  Mom says the rules state no speeding up a mortal's death.  It might be worth losing to get rid of Seb.

I never knew much about how Carol looked beneath her giant sunglasses, but Colette's adorable.

And that's quite  way to end the chapter. :o

Colette was quite the hidden gem, I was sure that the eyes were gone with this family.  Being a natural born witch was a huge bonus, as was her being such a grandma's girl.

Chapter 8
Jeannine

Oh my precious little grand-baby-nooboo Colette, let's have your birthday.  It's ok, go ahead and blow out the candles.

Your favourite color is green, not yellow?  That's ok, we can still dress you up in pretty pastel colors to go with our eyes.

It was a happy time in my life with such an adoring grandchild.  Even if I still had work to do before I could taste ambrosia, and my age was starting to catch up with me.  I only had one promotion to go, and then I was done.  JC was almost complete with his duties as well, so it was almost down to this third generation to take the wheel.  Unfortunately, we lost Micheal mid-sculpture.

He was 97 days old, and still pleaded for more time.  I was sad to see him go, but we all knew it was well past his time.

Sebastian aged up on his way home from work, right on the bridge.  He missed his father-in-laws's death, and seemed to be hardly affected by it.  Jerk.

Ellie got the news at work, probably leading to the cause of her explosion mid-shift that nearly killed her.  When she got home, all she could think about was her dad, how much she wanted a baby, and how burnt her skin felt.  All Seb could think about was some midlife crisis woohoo.

I held a funeral for Micheal.  He was responsible for much of the ice sculptures in our museum, and helped give us Ellie.  he was also my husband's brother, and my friend.  Rest in peace, dear Micheal.

A spot open in the house mean that Ellie could get pregnant.  I gave her my blessing, she had rolled two baby-having wishes, and she had already done so much for this dynasty that I couldn't tell her no.  I gave her a bunch of apples, telling her that I had conjured them myself to help her keep healthy in her pregnancy.

Carol was less than pleased to hear that there would be another baby in the house.  Luckily Ellie was at the library studying cooking and reading baby books, and JC was at work so neither of them heard me scream at her.

My son made sure to be there for Ellie when the first labor pains hit.  Seb was at work, and couldn't be bothered to answer his phone.  Ellie insisted that she could so a home birth like her mother, Carol and I did, so we sat tight.

Seb must have said something unfortunate when he finally did arrive, I heard Ellie screaming about never woo-hooing ever again.  Then again, I might have said something similar myself when I had my son...

After a bit more screaming, we finally welcomed Seth Prattle to the family.  He is artistic and friendly.  The look on Ellie's face told me just how much this baby meant to her, and I'm so thankful that I told her yes when she came to me about getting pregnant.

Seeing my son hold Seth made me ache for another grandchild, but his wife was already old, and the household was full, so I contented myself with thoughts of the future instead.

Chapter 9
Colette

My birthday into teendom was extra special!  Aunt Ellie had her baby, little Seth, who I declare my honorary Noo Boo as well, since in Bridgeport he isn't legally related to me.  I went up to the cake, and wished for him to have a good life to look forward to!  Grandma supported me as always, with her full love.  Ellie also seemed really excited.  I used to think Ellie was my mom, I'm not sure Carol spoke to me much until after this birthday.  Clapping excitedly, she could only say "Finally, one less kid in the household!"

The sparkles hit me suddenly, but I was prepared with a smile on my face.

Grandma always liked to dress me in yellow, so I decided to humor her for a little while longer.

I took a quick trip over to Ellie, before we had our other exciting celebration for the day.

Seth is a toddler!

He looks a lot like his dad, which is a little sad, Ellie has such great features.
Ellie took over on much of Seth's care, Seb is always at the military station, or too tired to do things.  Ellie didn't mind in the least, she had quit her scientist job to be a work-at-home sculptor, and be there for me and Seth full time.

Gran says the way Seth looks at Ellie reminds her of the way I looked at her at that age.

When Ellie was tired, Gran took over.  She didn't work as much as she used to, and enjoyed toddler time immensly.

I occasionally sneaked some time with Seth as well.  I hope when I have a noo boo it's half as cute as him!

Dad's birthday snuck up on him late one night, but he took it well, all things considered.

Ellie had mastered cooking while she was pregnant, and now that Gran was one promotion away from completing her goals, read the ambrosia recipe at last.

When Gran came home that night, she tasted Ellie's perfect dish, and sighed with contentment  "90 days old...Oh Matthew, if only you could see me now.

After a quick cry, she headed down to the tub to let it all soak in.

I had prom that night, but unfortunately had to pass a very sweaty Seb, getting a nose-full of his military sweat.  At least my dress was as artistic as I am!  Prom went...mostly well.I asked my crush to dance, and got turned down.  I asked the shy guy from math, and he freaked out!  I also got into a fight...the details are unimportant.  Just when it seemed like the night might be ruined, I got voted Queen!  I wish I could have met someone nice, but I guess that's what you get when your more interested in painting and sculpting then in who's single.

To finish things up, gran took all her hidden items down to the second level of the basement, and got Ellie to program some machine in her room.

Gran promised me that she'd share it all with me once I fulfilled my own duties.  I'm really looking forward to sharing eternity with her and dad, I can't imagine a better life then the one she's promised me.  I wonder why she looks so sad when I say that though.  Must have something to do with that Matthew I almost remember not being here.

She was going to be all ready to go at 86, but then decided not to go to work, and I didn't realize it in time, then she had the next three days off and I was holding my breath for her final promotion.
Seth was one of my favorite toddlers, besides Pascal, who I think you will agree, when you meet him, is the best toddler ever.

Congrats on your first immortal!  Colette is gorgeous.  I love her eye color.  And Seth is just too cute  :)
Colette is a rare exemption, so far all the other toddler have completely favored like their fathers.  I'm hopeful that the eyes will be expressed again, but no luck so far, and I just got my gen 5 toddler  Oh well.

Chapter 10
Jeanine
One day, while everyone was at work and school other then me, Seth and Ellie, I called Ellie into my room for a chat.

"Ellie, sweetheart, I know I'm not really in a position to ask you this.  You've been invaluable to this family, and had to sacrifice a lot for me and my son.  You've sacrificed for your parent's happiness as well.  And Sebastian...doesn't seem good for you.  He can't move out, but I wanted you to know you have the full support of me and the rest of the family if you want to divorce him.  I'll throw on an extra room if it's something that can make this easier fo-"

"That's enough Aunt J.  Now, see here, Sebastian and I don't have a perfect relationship, but I said til death do us part, and I intend to see that through.  Besides, I could never do that to Seth.  And if JC can struggle through until the end with Carol, i can do the same with Sebastian.  However, there is one thing I'd like to ask you for..."

"When this is all over, I want to go to Dragon Valley with Jean Claude.  Through the Sim Bin.  I want to have the happy ending the two of us never could here in Bridgeport."

"Deal.  We love you Ellie, thank you for everything you've done for this family."
"Of course.  I wanted to be a renaissance sim anyways, you know."
Soon afterwards I went after my next big responsibility, teaching Colette the ways of our people.   "Just relax...this charm will make things easier for you."

"Alright, now focus...oh dear, a poisoned apple!   Ok, we'll take care of that in a minute.  Try again.  Much better!"

"Now envision that first apple as something...else."

"Ok, you've got the basics down.  This is a little ritual I did with your father when he was your age."

Ellie, had her birthday a little after that, right in the middle of getting Seth his dinner.

Unlike my son and her husband, she decided to update her look.  I approved.

I have no idea where how she got so...well-endowed.  Certainly not from her mother!  As a co-worker of mine remarked, she did look lovely back in the sea foam and brown she had worn so often as a child.

Her dad showed up to celebrate with her as well, earning a miffed Seb, but I had a private talk with him later about how to respect the ghosts of our household.

The week ended with little Seth's birthday.  Poor Colette had a panic attack when she found out she wouldn't have a cuddly toddler anymore.  She calmed back down after I reminded her that she could have her own noo boo soon.

Ellie took her son to the cake, and we said goodbye to our little man.

Oh!

Oh my!

What a cute little man in...lilac?  Oh well, there's no accounting for taste.  But that facial structure is much better then his School ID photo shows.  Please, look at the one from his birthday, it's the one I show off with the baby pictures of Colette.
I think it's time for me to make some plans for this one...After all, Bridgeport law says he isn't family.

He's a cutie! And I hope he grows into those Bridgeport cheekbones a little better.
He really did, He's currently an elder, but looked fantastic after aging up again.  The front-on view is always a little cringe-worthly, but his genes mixed well with...others ;)

Chapter 11
Jean Claude
My daughter was always willing to do anything to make her grandmother happy.  After her prom, she went right back to her easel, and maxed painting.

She had decided to max self-employed painting as her career, and as such aged up at her easel.

The hair stayed

But her wardrobe was massively overhauled.  She and I share the same favorite color, green.  I hope her offspring break that habit, our museum is only aqua and green, we need a little diversity.

Her graduation was the same day.  Carol was properly proud of our daughter at last, happy to point her out to the other parents, her daughter who graduated with honors, and was voted most artistic.  Just like her mom.  Who barely spoke to her until this last year, as she exited childhood.  I try to look past it, but it's been a major source of strife in our marriage.  At least Ellie was there for her too, cheering her on just as she had for every stage of her life.

Seth aged up later that day.  As Colette exited teendom, he entered it, and Colette was more then happy to help him adjust to everything, even going so far as lending Ellie her car so that Seth could learn to drive in a Motive Mobile, which she had inherited from her own father.

I have no idea why Ellie's son always ages up so formal, but it sure does put a gleam in Mum's eye.  I hope she isn't getting any ideas, since she claims to still be morning dad.

His dad also aged up that night.  In his underwear.  Maybe Seth is making up for his dad with his aging?

Colette supermaxed painting that night, much to everyone's delight.  A young adult, and the only requirements left were her career and opportunities.  I'm so proud I could burst.

Her mother felt the same way.

Oh Caroline, what can I say?  Our marriage was far from ideal, but there were good times.  And our daughter.  I know your tired.  It's ok.  I understand.

She pleaded with grim "I don't want to go now!  There's finally no kids in this house!"
He was unswayed.  Goodbye, Caroline Custard-O'Neil.  She never did top her career, but she was 105.  She lived a mostly satisfying life, and it was reflected with her nice urn.

I topped my career soon afterwards, though it didn't feel as good as I thought it would.  Despite our differences, I loved my wife, in my own way, and I had looked forward to celebrating this with her.

I settled for a quiet drink by myself.

My birthday was the very next night.  Thankfully mom had already bought me clothes as a gift.

It wasn't all good news though.  Later that week, Ellie went through a pain I would never know.  We lost Marina Prattle.  To date, she is the only one to shake hands with Grim.  She was a gardener for life, reaching level nine in her career.  She gave us lifefruit and death flowers.  And Ellie.  She never married, choosing instead to enjoy a lover here and there.  She outlived any who came before her, and a few who came after.  She was 109.

But Grim wasn't done with his work that week.  He took my little dog, Maxx, who I had gotten for my birthday so many years before.  I think he was 44.  He lived a long time, and was much beloved by the entire family.  Grim was kind with him.

We'll end on a happier note.  Ellie had her last birthday, and aged up beautiful, her hair reminding me of when we had been children and played together all day long, before the realities of this dynasty thing had settled in.

She kept the brown and seafoam, knowing how much I liked it on her.  I tried not to let her see how bittersweet my smile was, now that losing her seemed so much closer then yesterday.

At least I could rest assured that Seb would be gone before Ellie.  We still had time.

I would say RIP to Carol and Marina, but they seemed to have overstayed their welcome anyways. :P

And the last bit made me sad. I'm hoping for some resolution between JC and Ellie!

Next week is finals week, so I can't make any promises on updates.  I do have a few more chapters written out, but they need some proofreading and trait-checking.  I'm also having some troubles with generations 5 & 6 at the moment, but I haven't failed yet.

I would say RIP to Carol and Marina, but they seemed to have overstayed their welcome anyways. :P

And the last bit made me sad. I'm hoping for some resolution between JC and Ellie!
I thought they would NEVER die.  I honestly thought that having so much life fruit and death flowers arranged in a spiral on the floor pf the second basement had made a talisman against the reaper, so her would never come again.  I was ok with Marina hanging on, but had started to hate Carol at that point.  JC and Ellie will have their resolution, but I can't say when ;)

Chapter 12
Seth
With the loss of so many of the founding members, Ms. Jeaninne decided to update the house.  Mom's and Grandma's garden was expanded, with promises that I would soon join my mom out there with the plants, and a fishing hole/relaxation area for Uncle Jean Claude.

The second floor was also added onto, so that Lette and I could have our own rooms, and the face of the house was beautified so that the paparazzi could have something else to look at besides our family.

The updated second floor was amazing, I really liked the porch outside.  Uncle Jean Claude decided to take up mixology to accompany his retirement, and would often let me have a drink after my homework was done.  Just the one, of course.

Lette's room was the best, and we would often watch tv together in there.  She let me use her bathroom too, since I was the only other person there who didn't have to worry about breaking an elderly body by using her sleek tub.

My room was pretty awesome too.  I could see our plants from our window, and had my own space to relax in.

The rest of the house got a much needed proper kitchen, with Lette's mom enjoying the new stove.

An entry way with a bar and dining room.

Carol and Marina's room got turned into an office.

And the old main part of the house became a sort of library/study.

We turned Grandpa Micheal's old room into a guest bedroom for a butler.  Now that Mom's older, Ms. Jeannine doesn't want her to have to take care of all the housework by herself, so she can enjoy her golden years.  Mom decided to join the education career with this extra time, something she had wanted to do since she was a child.

The new view from the front of the house is much nicer.

Lastly, we made proper memorials for our dead.
Grandpa Micheal

Caroline

Grandma Marina

With all of the house getting constructed on, we didn't have time for much that week.  Other then uncle Jean Claude obtaining Immortality!  My mom personally made him his first serving, saying that he could have the crappy replicated stuff next time.

Congratulations Uncle!

Thank you, Jean Claude was much easier then his mother.  I had to finally give in and fix up the house, it was a three bedroom for a long time with everyone wanting to sleep in Matthew's trailer, and that's just...bleh.

Chapter 13
Jeannine O'Neil

After overhauling my now luxurious abode, it was time for Seth's birthday.  I, personally, was looking forward to it very much.  The teen looked up at his family, and blew out the candles, finally growing into those Prattle cheekbones, and becoming even more handsome then I had suspected two birthdays ago.

I was not disappointed when he aged, what a looker!  Alas, not for me, I want those genes passed on.  But there's no harm in a little eye candy.  Oh, don't give me that look JC, you know your dad is the only man for me, even if I still have five generations to go.

The lilac even looked good now, though I do wish he had like aqua, it would have paired lovely with those dark blue eyes.

Graduation had him voted both class valedictorian, and most popular.  I can certainly see why!  He was prom king, and had met a nice girl while he was there that night, Holly Richey if I'm not mistaken, though I only saw her once.  Some blonde or another.

Colette gave him a present, a book that would aid him in his future career.

It seemed to do the trick, though I won't hold my breath.  My granddaughter may be a grandma's girl, but I'll let her have her pick of the men in this town.  So long as Seth still gives the family at least one nooboo somewhere down the line.

I saw him call over his romantic interest from high school, and break things off with her.  She seemed fine with it.  She had aged up shortly after prom, so it was only ever a fling for the two of them.

But then there was an unexpected visitor.

And Seth married Ituxi Yoth that very night.  They made plans, collage, a life.  Alas, it was not to be.  Poor Ituxi, it broke her heart to leave Seth so soon.

Grim Approached.

And I found my attention focusing somewhere else.  Dat ghost alien bootay though!

Ahem!  Alas, poor Seth, his first marriage ended in tragedy.  Ituxi was 126 days old on the day of her wedding, the day of her death.  Thank goodness Ellie had time to capture her likeness.

While Ellie was with her morning son, things came to a head between Seb and my son.

"I don't know what you were thinking, talking to Ellie that way, but I won't have it!  This is MY family, and I won't take your blatent disrepect any longer!"

"You think so much or YOUR family and YOUR house, but let me tell you, you'll never have MY wife!  Soon I'll be dead, and she'll join me while you and your ilk live forever, and we'll finally be free!"
"And once were dead, you can't do anything with MY Ellie.  She'll finally be just mine, AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!"

"Ellie is her own person, not your property, and I won't hear you talk about her that way!  You never supported her, were never there for her, and didn't deserve her in the first place!"

I hope to never again see a 98 year old wrestling with a 72 year old.  At least my son won.

But all Ellie and Colette saw was this.

It might not be hard to convince Ellie to divorce him after seeing only such a one-sided bit of this scuffle.  Not that I'm still pushing for that.

We can hope for a divorce, anyways!

Poor Seth, though. :( I was under the impression and he and Colette would marry, but I hope they make good choices regardless.
