We can hope for a divorce, anyways!

Poor Seth, though. :( I was under the impression and he and Colette would marry, but I hope they make good choices regardless.
I never really had a reason, but very much disliked Sebastian.  I ignored him as much as possible.

Chapter 14
Colette

After Ituxi died, I decided to help Seth morn in the traditional O'Neil way.  University.

Seth had told me when he graduated that he wanted to be a doctor, and I had decided to take over sculpting for Mom Ellie, and uni in winter seemed like the best way for me to do that.  We decided to go bowling while we waited for orientation.  We both sucked.

We spent a lot of our time studying together, with only the occasional sob from Seth.  His romance with Ituxi was short, but real, and he wasn't going to get over it right away.

Classes were often tedious.  As a sim with painting supermaxed, and a maxed career in painting, I was severely disappointed with the curriculum at times.  The ways they were trying to teach these students to be profitable were laughable, but I decided to keep my head down.  No one wants to be the know it all.

We partied one night, doing keg-stands and getting juiced out of our minds.

I had a killer hang over the next day, and no amount of doctor-in-training advice from Seth could help to alleviate it.

After a while, Seth and I started hangout after classes were out every day.  Even if it was just studying.

More pathetic bowling.

Or more studying.

Until one day, Seth surprised me after a quick dinner.
"Ellie, I know this is a bit sudden, but I found these flowers today, and I'd like to give them to you.  Want go see the new play, The Hidden Pistol?  My treat."

We started tentatively dating after that.  Usually movies, we saw I'm a carrot! and Prison for dogs later that week.  Soon we started to date in earnest, as boyfriend and girlfriend, and do dorky things like sitting in the snow to watch the stars at night.

Things got serious.

The rest of the term was mostly spending time together.  We had already done enough the first term to have 4.0's, so as long as we just showed up to class we didn't have to do anything else.  Other then find new places to have fun.

Graduation day came quickly, with Seth quietly proposing to me the morning before.  I said yes, and graduated with a ring on my finger.

Wait until Gran-gran hears about this!

I stand corrected, then. :P

Congrats to the two of them!
Originally Seth was going to be with Colette, but then Ituxi showed up one night and he instantly fell in love with her.  Midway through his first kiss, he got the notification that she wasn't going to live forever, so I had him marry her with the intention of sending them to collage to let her get at least a little lifetime happiness.  Unfortunately, she died mere hours later.  It also proved that Seth has a thing for older women and aliens, something he passed onto his decedents.

Chapter 15
Seth

I have the most amazing life.  After thinking that I would be alone for the rest of my life, Lette and I fell in love, and now it's the eve of our wedding.  Lette picked out some new jammies in our favourite colors, to help top off my batchalor party.  I'm the luckiest sim in Bridgeport.

We got married in the morning, surrounded by our families.  The outdoor area was made specially by Ms. Jeannine, just for us!

I kissed my wife, comforted by the fact that I wouldn't lose her the way I had lost dear Ituxi, and knowing that we had a long life to look forward to together.

Lette got a bit sick after eating the wedding cake.  I hope she's ok...

I'm a doctor now!  And we have a nooboo on the way!  I hope it's a girl.  Lette wants a boy.  We decided to leave it up to chance, and decided not to have me determine the gender this time.

She literally ran into her dad the next morning, nearly exploding with the news.

Her dad decided to adopt a dog and a puppy to spend his retirement with.  The big black doofy looking one is Zoey, a male if you can believe it.  The little one is Tiffany.

Ituxi came to me one night, telling me that she was happy for Lette and I.  She would always be watching over us.  It meant everything to me for her to say that.

Lette's water broke in the middle of the night, and despite being a doctor, I had the same reaction as any other father.  Even though I could have had a birthing suit ready for her, Lette wanted to do a home birth like every other mother in this household.

Lette gave birth shortly after to a daughter, Cecily O'Neil.  She loves the cold and is a heavy sleeper.  She's also a witch, much to the entire families delight.  I don't really care either way, but it is nice to see her have something in common with the other immortals.

Lette had her birthday later that night.  She was not amused by what her hair did when the band snapped off mid-sparkle.  Don't tell her, but I happen to like it that way, it usually comes undone at night while she's asleep.

Mom and JC were enjoying their twilight years together, mom cuddling Cecily on the rocker watching her cousin play with the dogs.  It was very peaceful for the both of them.

Lette had exciting news when I cam home from work, another noo boo!  It's kind of weird, I know, for a dynasty family, but Lette and I both wanted another child, and she was determined to have a son this time.  But every time I checked, it was a girl.  She must have had 50 apples during that pregnancy, but this child was bond and determined to be female.

Lette brought Cecily to her cake midway through her second trimester.

Little Cecily looks just like me!  I thought for sure she would favor her mother.

Mom spent a lot of time with Cecily, when she wasn't working at the school.  She was getting rather old, and wasn't sure if she would be around for another toddler, so we let her have Cecily almost all to herself.

At least until Lette's accident in her last trimester.

Congrats to Seth and Colette!  Cecily is such a cutie  ;D
It's been the happiest marriage so far, and I was pretty happy to finally get Ellie's genes in with the immortals.

I love Cecily's blue eyes!

And that ending. :(
I don't know what it is with this file, but the kids always look just like the dad.  Not that I'm complaining, Seth had some great eyes to pass down, but I had been hoping that Colette's/Jeannine's eye would appear again.
I've never had a pregnant sim get singed/burned before, it was kind of a shock.

Chapter 16
Jean Claude

Shortly before giving birth, my daughter was in a small accident.  Luckily, my son-in-law is a doctor, and managed to nurse her back to health.  She wasn't hurt too terribly, thanks to my mother's ice blast that immediately put out the fire surrounding her.  It still gave us all quite the scare.  Immortality was held by myself and mum, but Colette didn't have that protection, not yet.  However, she did have another nooboo.

This is Merina, named in part after her great-grandmother Marina Prattle.  She was born clumsy and insane.  I fear the accident negatively impacted her.  But she seems fine otherwise.  She's also inherited Mum's powers, just as all children of her line have.

Our butler was terrified of her.

Absolutely. Terrified.

Now that there was another noo boo for Ellie to dote on, Colette took over with Cecily.
"Someday, you'll get to get married!"
"Married!"

"And there'll be cake!"
"Cake!"

Cecily was the first to show magical abilities at such an age.  She seemed as shocked as the rest of us.

I took over potty training, I wanted a piece of toddlerdom to myself.  Luckily Cecily was ready for it, and it didn't take very long.

I started to work on Mixology more.  Ellie was almost 90 now, and I wanted to be able to give her a wonderful party when she did retire.  I needed more practice.

Merina's birthday arrived soon after her older sister's.  Her hair is almost like mum's, surprising us all, though she has her father's eyes, just like Cecily.  It's been the closest to another red head we've ever gotten, even if it is a little more brown and much darker.

The two spent a goodly portion of their childhood together, playing in mum's room, which she had partially converted into a playpen.  Her excuse was that having young magic around made her feel younger herself, but the truth is that Mum's always been a sucker for kids.

Ellie got promoted again, and was happily practicing her acceptance speech when I got home.

I got her a small gift, her old bracelet that I had given her when she started high school that had broken years ago, fully repaired.

She was overjoyed to have it back again, thinking it had been thrown away while she was at university.  I had found it just before we graduated, and mailed it to a friend of Mum's, though it had taken a long time for her to find the correct pieces to complete the repair for it to look good as new.

Seb was so mad he saw stars.

Wait...I see them too...

I'm embarrassed to say that I had completely forgotten about Marina Prattle.  I had just seen Brave for the first time, and thought it would be a nice name for her.  It's just a coincidence that she has blue eyes, red hair, and her favorite color is Irish green, right?

Chapter 17
Ellie

It happened so suddenly.  One Minute I was talking to JC, the next...

My husband was gone.  We had had a complicated relationship. There was love, of a sort, in the life we shared together.  And it broke my heart to lose him.  He was 102, with his military career maxed out, though he only went to work as an astronaut once.  Goodbye, Sebastian.

Aunt Jeannine stepped close to grim before he left, introducing herself formally, having had him in her home so many times.

She also tired to kiss him.  I think it's probably a good thing she had that death flower on her, I still hear his yelling in my dreams sometimes.

I personally built Seb's memorial.  We decided no to have a gathering for him.   I know how everyone felt about him, even his friends at work.  Besides, it just wasn't his style to have a party.

Sadly, it was winter, and I could only watch my garden remain dormant.  How I yearned for spring, but I felt in my bones that I wouldn't see it arrive.

I did get to see my granddaughter's birthday though!  Little lime-green nooboo, covered in sparkles~

She's quite the looker, even with her strange magical markings.  She gained the unstable trait, just as Colette did at her age.  Aunt Jeannine says it's a dominant trait in her family, and JC was lucky to miss it.

With Seb's passing, Aunt Jeannine became more melancholy.  There was no love lost between the two, but it brought her back to when she lost her husband.  She bought Matthew's old house, which had lain dormant ever since he had married her.

After warming herself in front of his automatic fireplace, she took a look around.  There were two clean plates on the drying rack, mementos from the one meal they had shared together here, the day she moved to town.

When she went upstairs, she saw the unmade bed, where she had consummated her love with her husband, and conceived her only child that fateful first night, while they were waiting for the morning and their wedding to arrive.

She lovingly made up first the side she had slept on, then the side he had, feeling a weight in her heart lift at last once she looked at the made bed, as if a some kind of closure had come at last to her.

With my husband and Carol gone, JC and I were both alone.  We decided to spend whatever time we had left together, just as we did when we were young.  We even started to sleep in the same bed, as we had when I was seven and often had nightmares.

Aunt Jeannine took Cecily to a studio in town, near her work, so that Cecily could concentrate on her potions in relative peace.  Frequent trips with the motive mobile allowed her to study all night, and still be well rested for school.

Aunt Jeannine knew my time was almost up, and began to learn how to cook herself.  Even if all my replicated ambrosia managed to last, there was no reason to leave anything to chance.  Besides, she needed  new hobby.  Work wasn't keeping her as busy as she would like, and typing at the computer all day was getting boring.

Merina had her birthday, aging up into a lovely, if unstable, young woman.

I was happy to see little Merina as a child.  It was none too soon, for on that first day of spring, as I watched my garden come to life, I felt my own leaving me.

The girls are beautiful children, though.
I was really hoping Ellie would be like her parents and linger...alas, it was not to be.

I really liked how the girls turned out, which is why i'm so upset about losing Merina's tombstone.
She died outside of Bridgeport, and I was able to get her tombstone, but it disappeared from inventory when I was back in Bridgeport, which I didn't realize before saving.  I now only have save files with her either already dead or where Colette is still pregnant with her.
If anyone knows of a way for me to get her back, please let me know.

Chapter 18
Jeannine
Ellie.  My darling girl.  She was everything to us.  She had maxed gardening, cooking, sculpting and painting.  Most of our museum is here because of her.  She had quite the career, level five science, level six painting, level seven sculpting and level eight education.  She gave us Seth, ambrosia, and was a mother to poor Colette, whose own mother hated kids.  She was only 96, and left us too soon.

We'll never know if she shook hands with grim or not.  Her plants got in his way, and in the end, she merely entered her obelisk, and was gone.

My son...didn't take it well.  Generations later, I would often find him down there, late a night, talking to her.  I kept my last conversation with her about Dragon Valley to myself.  We still had four more generations to go, it's not time for him to know yet, that a happy ending is promised to them both.

Life went on.  Merina...exercised.

Seth had his birthday.

And so did Cecily.

She's quite the striking girl.  Despite taking her heritage very seriously, in dress and declaring the school of alchemy as her super max, she declined my offer to learn more traditional magic.  No magic, or apples, just potions and brooms.  Ah well, maybe when she's older.

She bought the Landgrabb Consignment Center, adding an alchemy register, new decorations, and a magical rooftop.

She delighted in throwing potions at us, though they were always ones that made us happy.  I'm glad she isn't evil.

The day before her prom, she approached the magic 8 ball "Will I find true love?"

Her dress was lovely, though I feel she was a bit obsessed with her makeup that night.  Nothing new there.

Merina had her teen birthday while her sister was at prom.

Happy as I was for Cecily's new romantic interest from prom, there's a small problem with her 'true love' and our family.  Namely, bringing in the next generation.

Though our dogs had no problem bringing another generation in themselves.

Merina insists there's nothing to worry about, and attacked her mother with a pillow after telling us about Cecily's girlfriend.  After all, Cecily is still only in high school.

Merina may have a point, though it's hard to take her seriously when she exercises in her prom dress.

Heels and all.

Actually, depending on how far along Collete was in her pregnancy, you might still be able to get Merina to look the same. Try playing the Collete's pregnancy file a little bit, she might turn out the same.

Depending on how keen you are on using mods, some data might still exist for Merina in the game. I've noticed that many sims with missing tombstones show up if I use Master Controller and sort by Homeworld -> [whatever town you're playing in but it would likely be Bridgeport here]. You could use that to add her to the household and recover her that way.

Of course, you'd need to do this outside of your active dynasty file. Rules are rules!

Anyways, a girlfriend might throw a wrench into your dynasty plans. :P

Thanks, I'll try that and let you know how it went.

I've never used any mods, my old computer could barely handle regular sim games, and couldn't even handle having much more then a single sim.  Where do I get this mod?  I'm considering opening an older file and using edit world to add a mausoleum to the place she died to see if her tombstone shows up in that area.  And yes, defiantly not on my active file.

Oh, how Hillary changed things...the situation reminds me of your dynasty a bit, though things went more...interesting in this case due to the family full of witches.  Hillary keeps almost dying from dehydration, even though I got her a swimming pool she forgets to use it.

Chapter 19
Colette

Cecily is giving me wrinkles.  Oh, wait, it's my birthday.

Yippee.

At first I was worried, how would my husband react to having an elderly wife?  He laughed when I brought it up.  His first wife had been 126 when he married her, how had I not realized he liked older women!?  It was also nice still being older then him, it meant we still had more time together.  Dad often told me he how glad he was that he was older then Ellie, and now I definitely understand why.
Mom Ellie came for a visit later that night.

"JC...I missed you."

"Ellie..."
Tiffany was having puppies, so I went into the next room to make sure she was alright.  She only had the one puppy, and it was just in time too.

The puppy had only hours to play with his dad Zoey...

Zoey followed the smell.

Grim gave him a hug.

And Tiffany could only watch as her mate followed the treat.

Gran was electrocuted by getting struck by lightening the next day.  She had a death flower on her, but it wasn't bad enough for grim to pay her a visit.  Personally, I think he just didn't want a flower from her after she tried to smooch him at Seb's passing.

She seemed to be moving on.  She had her boss, Johanna King, fae, over one night.
"Johanna, are you seeing anyone?"
"Nope, still single.  You?"
"No one since Matthew, I'm not sure I-"
"I'm tired of playing this game, Jean."

"I think we could be something. Together.  I know your immortal.  I'm fae, nearly immortal."

"What do you say?"

"I think I want to kiss you."

It escalated quickly from there.  Although Jo could never live with us, she was fine with just dating.  Seeing Jo made it harder for us to even think about asking Cecily to break things off with her girlfriend, even knowing the consequences.  I certainly couldn't bring it up with her, I liked seeing my daughter happy and in love.  Gran gran told me that she and dad have a back-up plan in place in case she and Hillary do get married, so I don't need to worry.  Maybe Gran can use her magic to spawn a child in my daughter's belly?  She's much more powerful then any of us, she's had about a hundred years to practice her magic now.

So I put it off.  Meanwhile, Cecily supermaxed alchemy.

And one night, Gran decided to meet this girlfriend of her's.  I'm not impressed.  She's a loser, even if she is proper, and I later learned her life time wish is gold digger.  I was right to dislike her.

At least things are on track now for the rest of the family.  Now that I was finally an elder, it was time.  I joined Gran and dad for ambrosia.  I'm in.

I can discuss Master Controller further with you in a PM, if you'd like. Honestly, I haven't tested to see how much I can recover with that mod, but I can try opening an old save to try before I lead you down the modding rabbithole.

Anyways, I approve of all of this gay romance. ;) And yay for three immortals down!
