So from my testing, it looks like you don't get Mixology Opportunities in Sunset Valley.

Can anyone confirm this?  I'm curious.

So after all this time, I just got my first Mixology Skill Opp.  Wow, talk about dumb luck!  I was convinced it was either bugged or wouldn't fire.

And yeah, if I want people at a hotspot for moonlighting, I either invite them myself or hold a party there.  It works -so- much better.

Does anyone know how to own a bar? My sister thinks it's to own just the bar where you make drinks, but I think it's the whole building.
Also, how do you make a new drink? Is it just to learn a new drink, or create a completely new one?

It is the whole building.  You buy it the same way you would any real estate.

When you click on a bar on your home lot, you should have the option to make a new custom drink.
