Week Five has come and gone and with it, further progress!

Previous Score  157

Seven days used  -7
Comedy Skill Maxxed +10
1 Level Gardening Aspiration +5
1 Level Mansion Baron Aspiration +5

Total Score End of Week Five:  170

So much progress has been made this week, isn't that right Simself?

"Still not talking to you."

The workout routine has done really great things!

"Hate you so much."

We've maxxed another skill!

"Help me little mushroom cap, you're my only friend."

*coughs*  yes, well, my Simself and I are having a little fallout from the intense exercise regime that's been enacted....

"That I've been doing while my lazy Watcherself is sipping coffee!"

I thought you weren't talking to me.

"I'm talking to the *readers*."

So... how about we show off the latest upgrade to the homestead?  Mansion Baron Level 3, the one with all the windows!

We start at the back of the property, with a simple little structure that will be used later on.  Ten windows.

And every high priced home needs a gazeebo, and this one comes with seven windows!

And finally the main house itself has thirteen windows, to bring the total up to the needed thirty.

And to bump up the remaining needed value, you guessed it... more violins!

With the third level of Mansion Baron done, we need 150k more simoleans to finish the challenge.  The goal now is to keep producing a screenplay a day, paint to sell and work on those aspirations and skills.  And possibly a little relationship counseling between myself and my Simself...

"You won't let me *talk* to anyone else!"

We're working on it... really.
We hobbits are plain, quiet creatures. Adventures make one late for dinner.

I want that gazebo. I love this challenge, I may give it a try but in a Sims 3 version.

Thanks for the feedback, and for those who like the gazebo, it's surprisingly simple to make.  Plunk
down an octgonal room from the tool, add a small arch, the seven arch windows, top with a low wall and then wallpaper to suit!  Perfect little place to take a sweetie and enjoy the garden.  And possibly break out into song.

Weeks Six and Seven have been an absolute frenzy of activity and the simoleans are piling up, but we aren't *quite* at the needed amount to finish off the 350k simolean value needed.  But boy is it close now!

Previous Score 170

Fourteen days used  -14
Gardening Skill Maxxed  +10
Cooking Skill Maxxed  +10
Gardening Aspiration Complete +5
2 Levels Computer Whiz Aspiration +10
1 Level Master Chef Aspiration +5
1 level Mixologist +5
1 level Bodybuilder Aspiration +5
1 level Nerd Brain Aspiration +5
1 level Renaissance Sim Aspiration +5
1 level Successful Lineage Aspiration +5
1 level Big Happy Family Aspiration +5
1 level Curator Aspiration +5
1 level Musical Genius (violin) +5

Total Score end of Week Seven: 236

At this point, there are no other Aspirations to be worked on other than Mansion Baron.  It's the final stretch!

"Watcherself, I'm pretty sure those two were young adults like me when we began."

You've been people watching all this time?

"Well, it's not like I could *talk* to them, but I still have eyes.  he was cute once."

Uh, what are you doing?

"Making a cake?  Isn't it  my birthday?"

Here...have a drink...

"I feel... younger all of a sudden."

And I notice you're talking to me again.

"And *I* noticed you gave me a bar when we finished all that gardening."  *knocks one back*  "Though the haze of booze I forgive you."

Put all those drinks in the fridge, we're not going to spend all day knocking out this aspiration.

"Once I sober up I will hate you again."

"Hey Watcherself!"

Yes, Simself?

"I'm sober!  Now listen to this!"

Violin skills at level one... oh my poor ears...

"Heh, maybe it'll scare the mailwoman out from the trees where she's hiding again."

(I really don't know why, but she always delivers the bills from over here...)

"So, Watcherself, we should be getting very close now, right?"

Indeed, why don't you go knock out another painting while I make sure something fits right....

Believe it!  I estimate we're on the last few days, I'm trying to get two more skills maxxed out by the time we hit that needed monetary value, and it's so close now!

So, this  is it!  On Week Eight, Enough money was earned to complete the challenge.  I briefly pondered going until I'd maxxed every single skill but in the end I decided to go ahead and let my poor Simself out to enjoy her reward.

Previous Score: 236

Four days used -4
Gourmet Cooking Skill Maxxed +10
Fitness Skill Maxxed +10
Mansion Baron Achievement Complete +5

Final Score:  257

Total Days  53
28 Aspiration Tiers Completed
7 Skills Maxxed

"Hey, Watcherself... you said do a painting and then time went all funny like when you go around rearranging things."

Ah, well, Simself, you're right about that.  As it happens, we have quite a bit of money.

"That *I* earned."

That you earned and I used to buy violins.

"Yes, but what I'm looking at isn't a violin."

Ah, yes!   The party house!  I did finish that.

"Yes yes, that's very nice but I want to know about..."

Your new gym?  It's behind the party house!  With a TV so you'll have something to watch while you run!

"I'm talking about the *pool*!"

Ah  Right, well I had to do something with those twenty columns after all.

"Does this mean we're done?"

We are.

"And I can leave the house?"

Yup!

"Awesome.  It's so swimming time!"

So, everyone, this is it, the Room Challenge is complete and an upload of the lot and my simself MissTrips will be put on the gallery with the hashtag theroomchallenge, my Origin tag is MissTrips.  So Simself, can we roll credits please?

"Give me a new party suit first.  I don't like the default one."

Oh fine.  here you go.

"Better.  Okay readers, here's the final breakdown of my fifty-three days of captivity."

"I never got to talk to a single person."

"Watcherself wasn't kidding when she said we ran out of doable aspirations."

Fortunately we didn't go for *all* the skills.  She fed me three sleep replacement potions to finish the fitness skill, is that fair I ask you?"

Simself....

"You go three days without sleep and tell me how happy you are.  And finally, the rewards.  As you can see, the only need based one I have is the removal of my bladder."

"Now if you'll pardon me, I have some swimming to get back to!"

Once again, thanks to everyone who read and commented.  I had a lot of fun with this challenge.

Congrats MissTrips on completing the challenge. It was interesting following your progress. I may give this one a try after I finish my current challenge.

Thanks everyone.  I really like this as a good 'starter' challenge to try out, because it's so self contained and the end goal is easily trackable by the game itself.  The only note taking you really need to do is the number of days, since the game doesn't handle that anymore.  Also with only one sim to take care of, there's much less managing and a lot of the game can be played at high speed.

Congrats on finishing the challenge! I love what you've done with the lot and your Simself deserves to reap her rewards =D I also bought violins, I had no room or clue how to decorate the lot once landscaping was done.
