I thought vampires was suppose to run faster than regular sims.
Maybe it's just me but I can't tell any difference the speed. They blur out and make more noise. They seem like a old 4 cylinder truck I use to have. Give it more gas and it would make more noise but not go any faster.

I took two sims, one a vampire the other wasn't, to a spot away from anything for a starting point, paused the game selected a spot for the finish line for both of them. Restarted the game and they both took off at the same time and reached the finish line at the same time.

When I done this test both sims had a athletic skill of 10 so that makes them run faster anyway so I done some more testing on the running speed with two more races.

Race 1: Two sims with no athletic, one a vampire and one not. The vampire won the race by a good margin.

Race 2: Two sims one normal with a athletic skill of 10 the other a vampire with no athletic skill. That race was a tie.

So it seems a vampire runs at the speed of a sim with the athletic skill of 10.

Hidden traits are not always passed down.  However, the chances are very good that they will be.  A lot more than 50/50 in my opinion.

I recently had a high level firefighter who had 6 children with his wife (both were fresh out of CAS).  Only one of those children did not have the firefighter related traits.  4 were fireproof, 1 was a pyromaniac, and the second youngest didn't have any.

Are they playing with the 6.2 patch?
Yeah and I was sitting right next to her when it happened. Freaked me out.

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to share some pictures of my latest vampire kid, his names Dylan Martin, son of a sim I adopted and some random sim I found in Sunset Valley.

Then no, its one of the hair styles you unlock from using the styling station. Same hair style that his dad has so I thought it looked cute.

I got to say, he is a very cute looking kid.  I like the consistant color theme for him.  Very nicely made.

Hey everyone, my name is Eva. I'm pretty new to this site but I've been playing sims for a while. I've had Late Night since it came out but didn't really use vampires till I read some stuff on this thread that made me really want to haha.
I just created 2 sims in BP, Kristoff Morrison and Bella Everson. They're currently engaged and Kristoff is enduring the transformation to becoming a vampire (he was bit the other day by Elvira Slayer).
I intend for him to bite Bella once he has completed the metamorphosis and all.
I was just wondering what tips some of you might have as to raising vampires and eventually vampire children.
Thanksss! :]

Welcome to the forums Eva! Well, vampire children are basically like sim children except they skill up extremely fast. The kids are immune to the sunlight, but keep your YA's and older vampires out of the sun and you'll be fine!

Thanks!!! I knew about them being like sim children and all because of reading this thread but I didn't know they were immune to sunlight, so thank you.
I know a lot of people have talked about the glowing white eyes and yellow and such, and I thought I'd share that Kristoff was turned and has bright electric blue type eyes, while his wife Bella now has kind of bright purple eyes.
I think it definitely has to do with their eye color before, as they both had those eyes colors, and now they're just enhanced.
Anywho, Bella is pregnant with a lil vampire child haha.
