I know. I've been having a try at getting into the game's source code to work out what does what and how things work.

Wow. :o You know where TS3's Game Code is?! Please please can you PM me about it?? :)

I wouldn't advise trying to go into it. Unless you know what you're doing, you can completely mess up your game.

I have had one human child from a vampire/human couple.  It was probably when the game first came out.  Since then, I have had no other human nooboo's and believe me, I have tried so many times, I have lost count.  So it is safe to say, that it is almost impossible to have a human baby from a mixed couple.  That 50/50 chance that they say is pretty much blown out of the water.  I wish I had taken screenshots back then, but I didn't know I would not have any more human babies, so I really never thought about it, until I had not gotten anymore and hearing no one else had gotten any normal babies. :)

You wouldn't happen to know if the human was a burglar, cop, from a WA country, firefighter or the child of a hidden trait NPC, would you?

Like I said, it was when LN first came out and I really didn't realize it was going to be that rare of a thing.  I know I was in BP and I had made a sim and put him in the town and he got a vampire pregnant.  I am not sure if I still have the game, but I am going to try and see if I can find it.  I have so many games, I really need to weed some out. :)

See, that's why they release patches. It's not that they cure bugs or glitches, they take away cool stuff like this! >:( Probably it was the patch right after LN.

I'm thinking if he (or she) had one of the other hidden traits, that might be why the child didn't become a vampire. From what I know, only one can be passed down (not sure if it's one altogether or one per parent).

At one time, Pam and I were talking about this.  Maybe it was a patch that changed things, who knows.  All I know, no one seems to be able to have a human baby at all.  I wonder too, if the sim becomes pregnant while she is in the transition stage from human to vampire, if that makes a difference.  If they are not a vampire yet, but have been bitten, more than likely, the baby will be human baby, unless the option "try for baby" does not come up.  That is something I never really thought about.  I would say it would be a normal baby in that situation. :)

I tried to get a woman pregnant after being bit, and it didn't work. Even though I tried for baby like 6 times. No chimes, no nausea, and no baby. I successfully got her pregnant after she turned though.  ::)

I had the oddest thing happen the other night and I since I've never had a vampire die before I was wondering if this was the norm.

After she died there was a small pile of something left that I'm assuming was ash. When Grim arrived he did the same motion the Sims make when they clean up laundry piles and put the ash in a bag. Of course the other Sims in the house were all gathered around so Grim, still holding the bag, had the thought bubble they get when they can't go somewhere. Finally Grim got through, went up the stairs, and dropped the bag in the dinning room and went out the door. You could almost feel the "what am I doing with this?" that Grim seemed to be thinking.  It was so odd it made me laugh.

I guess that would stand to reason, since I had never thought about trying that, thanks.  Ok, well that blows that theory to pieces, lol.  :) I guess it was a one time shot then.  Maybe someone will have some luck then, somewhere.

Are they playing with the 6.2 patch?
