I read the exact same thing on the sims wiki, maybe that's were you read it.

That could very well be.  I've been noticing a bunch of inaccuracies and contradictions there lately.  I'd join them and make corrections myself, but I'm afraid someone will just change them back.  I've been through that far too many times on the regular Wikipedia and the Runescape Wiki both.  There comes a point where you just give up on the idea altogether lol.

But still, between there and here, there's a lot of great information at our disposal.

If I'm not mistaken there is a waiting period between getting unvamped and revamped. I'm not sure how long it is, but it's probably like a Sim day or less.

There is no waiting period. Briar took the cure then was immediately turned by her mother. She did have to wait through the metamorphosis phase however.

You could just delete the "Unusual Blemish" moodlet with testingcheats. That'll turn them into vampires immediately.

Interesting - Apparently I don't use cheats often enough because I had no idea :D

Forest now has 10 kids and all of them were born vampires.  Four have changed to normal by using Vampirism-B-Gone before I moved them out.  The 10th one is the first to have neither Forest's nor Seraphina's hair, which was bizarre because I was wondering when they would have an odd haired child at the very moment she aged to toddler.  Then, there she was with that stock brown hair!  If I thought there was any chance this is a glitch or bug, I'd try letting Buttermilk have a baby.  But I'm pretty sure it's not a bug because so many of you have reported no normal children born to a mixed vampire couple.

Child number 9:  Amber Dreamweaver

Child number 10:  Citrine Dreamweaver

Here's a nice shot of 7 of his kids at Citrine's birthday party.  Left to right:  Chiffon, Buttermilk, Cheddar, Saffron, Canary, Seraphina (wife in teal), Popcorn, Dandelion (seated).

Awww, they're so cute!

I have a theory. I think theres a very small chance of children being born to a mixed couple because vampires are the more dominant gene, and so, being more commonly born.

It's just a theory though. Don't completely use it as a fact.

That's a decent theory, but nothing I've seen in the game or anywhere else has said that.  The Prima Guide even says that there's a 50/50 chance of having a vampire with a mixed couple.  It's true the Prima Guide is always known to have errors, but this one seems way off.  Yet, I haven't read anything that gives a more correct ratio.

Yeah, the Prima Guide isn't usually that far off.

Maybe you're just lucky?  Well...you and everyone else.  :P

None of mine have gotten fangs when they age to Young Adult.  Their mother has fangs and she was turned into a vampire during her Adult stage.  I wonder if those who are born vampires just don't develop fangs.  Anyone have more experience with this?

Joslin was born a vampire and my two twins in another game were born vampires.  The twins did not have fangs and Joslin does have the fangs.  I am not sure why some have them and some don't.  I keep trying to figure it out and every time I think I have it solved, then it gets blown out of the water.  Maybe the fangs are random like some other things in the game. :)

Edit:  I have not gotten a mortal either when one is not a vampire.  I am going to have a town full of vampires just trying to get a normal child, lol.

Your family is awesome Pam.  Dreamweavers just keep getting prettier, even as vampires. :)

I love your vampire family, Pam. I think I have to agree it's not a 50/50 chance though. That was reasonable back when there were three, but now you've got a 1 in 1024 chance of all ten being born vampires if those are the correct odds.  :-\ Looks like a dominant gene.

Didn't you tell me on the phone that you had gotten a normal baby from a mixed couple one time?

Since I have talked to you, I have tried numerous times with a mixed couple and have not gotten anymore mortals as of yet, but yes, you are right, I did get the one mortal, but that has been it.  When I got the mortal nooboo, I think I had had the game about two weeks, so it seems like forever.  They say the mind always goes first, lol.

I've been wondering, in the last couple minutes, are the life stages of vampire children longer than normal as well?  Or just the young adult, adult, and elder?  It would stink to have to go to school longer just because you are a vampire.
