Oh yeah I forgot about that. Probably cause I probably won't buy it. I know it says Sims 3, but it's not an EP. I'll let you know what happens when they are outside too long ok?  ;D

It doesn't actually say Sims 3.  It's The Sims Medieval.  It just uses the same game mechanics as Sims 3.

When Seraphina had been outside long enough to be smoking, she had a -50 moodlet for 3 days!  I was scared to leave her out any longer.

Yeah, you've got good reason to be scared of that moodlet, too.  It's how vampire sims get themselves dead, and that's the primary reason that I stopped doing certain doctor special events for Veronika.

When I did do them, I would run her into the bathroom real quick every hour or so, but once during a Free Clinic in the park, she didn't make it in time.  She passed out in the park, and when she woke up she had that moodlet.  Since the weekend was close, I decided to have her tough it out one more day and just stay inside during the weekend.  But during that time, her thirst would just plummet.  She was literally in the fridge after plasma juice every 5 hours or so.  She couldn't even sleep through the night without waking up due to being "Madly Thirsty."  But the weekend came and I thought she was home free.  Nope, she gets a call Saturday night and has to go into the hospital.  And when you have to go in like that, you don't get the opportunity to eat and by the time she got off work, she was on the countdown timer to extinction.  And thanks to Bridgeport's insane travel times, she never made it to the fridge.  She was running into the lobby of her apartment and died a grisly death at the lobby elevator.  Luckily, I had just saved Friday morning, so I reloaded the game and immediately took 5 days off work.  I wasn't taking any chances lol.

However, a different vampire that I was playing got nailed with that moodlet while vacationing in Egypt.  I had her immediately return home, and her thirst didn't drop like that, even though the moodlet was still there.  Maybe I was glitched the first time, or maybe returning home after traveling caused it not to be as severe.  I'm not sure which lol.

And the moodlet lasts 2 days, not 3...but if you go out into the sun at all during that time, the timer on it restarts.

Interesting.  So, they don't die directly from exposure to the sun, but it makes them so weak overall that they can easily die of thirst.  My Seraphina has the Hardly Hungry LTR, so she doesn't suffer from thirst as badly as other vampires.  That might be part of what helped her recover from the sun exposure.  I'm pretty sure she had 3 days of the -50 moodlet, but I may test it again to double check.

Yes, and they can't hunt, read minds or make other sims think about them while the moodlet persists.  It's a serious albatross to have to wear lol.

I just recently discovered something weird in Veronika's house:

When I went into buy mode and picked it up, it said this was a "Magical Vampire Gnome."  Usually when you get one of these, you get a message saying you got one, but I never saw a message.  How do you get these things?

Oh no...not sparkles!  Don't even get me going on Twilight lol.

How do you get these things?

They appear when you have plasma fruit plants.  I think it takes three of them for a gnome to appear.  The vampire gnome will also turn teddy bears into gnomes if you leave one nearby.

Yeah, I've got 8 plasma fruit plants growing now, trying to build up a supply (and get them to perfect quality) for the two of them to use when they're out at the clubs and what not.  But I'm gonna have to try that with the teddy bear lol.

It's awesome! Once I get one, I buy a bunch of teddies, next thing I know I have a bunch of vampire gnomes! They are worth $1,000 when they turn. Then they can appreciate and depreciate. I have one in the Halliwell file worth $1,091!  ;D

Yeah, that's what it looks like to me, too lol.  They fly, do a dramatic point, and sleep the vampire sleep on the floor too.  I set one of the teddies out by the one who was there and now I have two.

But I had another teddy in the crib with Selena's new nooboo, and the little brats vamped it.  :P  I had to get a new one, but I stuck it in his inventory this time lol.

Having the bear in the nooboo's inventory is how you get the Cuddle Time moodlet, too.
