When Seraphina had been outside long enough to be smoking, she had a -50 moodlet for 3 days! I was scared to leave her out any longer.
Yeah, you've got good reason to be scared of that moodlet, too. It's how vampire sims get themselves dead, and that's the primary reason that I stopped doing certain doctor special events for Veronika.
When I did do them, I would run her into the bathroom real quick every hour or so, but once during a Free Clinic in the park, she didn't make it in time. She passed out in the park, and when she woke up she had that moodlet. Since the weekend was close, I decided to have her tough it out one more day and just stay inside during the weekend. But during that time, her thirst would just
plummet. She was literally in the fridge after plasma juice every 5 hours or so. She couldn't even sleep through the night without waking up due to being "Madly Thirsty." But the weekend came and I thought she was home free. Nope, she gets a call Saturday night and has to go into the hospital. And when you have to go in like that, you don't get the opportunity to eat and by the time she got off work, she was on the countdown timer to extinction. And thanks to Bridgeport's insane travel times, she never made it to the fridge. She was running into the lobby of her apartment and died a grisly death at the lobby elevator. Luckily, I had just saved Friday morning, so I reloaded the game and immediately took 5 days off work. I wasn't taking
any chances lol.
However, a different vampire that I was playing got nailed with that moodlet while vacationing in Egypt. I had her immediately return home, and her thirst didn't drop like that, even though the moodlet was still there. Maybe I was glitched the first time, or maybe returning home after traveling caused it not to be as severe. I'm not sure which lol.
And the moodlet lasts 2 days, not 3...but if you go out into the sun at all during that time, the timer on it restarts.
