My sim, Hannah Adkins became a vampire, and then married and turned Chistopher Steel. Only one problem: she's pregnant, and getting cravings to eat regular sim foods. Doesn't eating regular food make vampires sick?

You turned Christopher??  Do you have pictures you can share?

Heh. Yeah, that's the only change I really noticed. His skin is slightly paler, too.

I'm getting it very soon, and the first thing I'm going to do is turn Gunther and Cornelia! Then I will turn Geoffrey and Nancy then last and probably least lol is going to be Nick and Vita! Then the 3 major families are gonna be vampires! I will post a pic of them after! I'll probably do Jack and Judy too just for the fun of it!! The only problem I see with my evil plan is by playing in SV will there be vampires I can befriend and get turned? Or can I make a vampire in CAS? I think I read somewhere you can't but I just want to make sure!

No Vamps in CAS sadly, Vampires will spawn whenever you start a new game in SV/RV/BB etc. They are sometimes just the existing townies but just turned.

I got impatient waiting for one in SV, so I moved Elvira Slayer into my game.

I've noticed that some people on the exchange (probably the ones with mods that can force CAS open in-game to save Sims) are actually able to upload vampires as character files, so they can be downloaded into the Sim Bin. Does anyone know if it would be safe to download one and completely remodel it in CAS, keeping the vampirism? It seems like an easy way to make your own vampires, but I'm not sure how CAS would handle it. I'm taking the fact that the Sim Upload area on the EA site has a subsection for vampires as a good sign.

@Esther, if you're worried about finding vampires to turn you in Sunset Valley and don't want to wait for them to spawn, I'm sure you could start playing one in Bridgeport, save the household and put it down in Sunset Valley.

Both excellent suggestions! Ausette, I myself wouldn't trust it because you said they would have to have mods. Just my opinion though  ;D.

When I uploaded Hannah she showed up as a 'Human' I may try again to see if it is actually possible without Mods. I myself would not download anything that has come from a game with CC or Mods because some of those thongs have ways of crossing over in the files.

Oh my goodness I am freaking out so bad I can barely type. Ok so Pam if this is the wrong thread but I couldn't find this and I thought this would be relevant since this is a vampire thread. If not please move this. I just didn't feel comfortable starting a new topic.

Ok my sims have four vampire children. One he had before hubbySim died as vampire. And the other three afterward. Do you lose family connection when you go vampire?!? Oh and hubby died after they had the first child together so one is a ghost vampire.

I don't think you lose family connections, at least I don't see a reason for EA to program the game that way. And I'm sure that the vampires in BP have siblings and other family relationships.

I also would have no reason to think that EA would break off family relations, I think Pam would be the best to answer on this as she has had distant members of the Dreamweavers become Vampires and they have still seemed to be related? You may have caught a Family Tree bug where it removes family links.
