There's a vampire living down the hall from my Sims. ;)  We tried to get her into our band, but her keyboard skills kind of sucked and she ruined our gig by leaving in the middle of it!   So we kicked her out.  I don't care how cool vampires are, you don't leave in the middle of the show.   Personally, I think vampires are a bit flakey.

haha, oh wow. commitment issues.
I've been a vampire once, I think it would be cooler if you could just attack random sims lol instead of having to ask and stuff.

Just wondering - is the birth rate for a mixed human/vampire couple closer to 50/50 now, or do the kids still wind up mostly vampires? Has anyone tested that recently? Wondering if it's changed in a more recent patch.

I had, they were grandchildren of Vladimir Schlick (geez that surely is hard name to write) Their father was a vampire, mother an imaginary-friend-turned-real, they had triplets, two of which were vampires. I believe their names were Conrad and Cassie, the not-vampire one was Patricia. Cassie was the girlfriend of Jupiter Belle, Conrad dated Belisama Hemlock and Patricia was engaged to Sebastian Striker. Then I had to delete the file >:(

I think EA fixed that in a patch. I've had both vampire/normal and vampire/fairy couples have non-vampiric children.

They definitely overhauled occult inheritance with patch 1.38, so every occult has a true 50/50 chance of making occult babies of their type. I myself recently had a vampire/human couple have four human children. Another human/vampire union in the same file produced three vampires and two humans.

Has anyone noticed that Vladimir Schlick is actually the oldest vampire in Bridgeport, not Elvira Slayer? She has more days left than he does :) Poor fellow. The game has really set him up for failure from the beginning - first off, he isn't given proper credit as the oldest, and how is he supposed to become the Emperor of Evil when he is a coward, and Elvira has all the traits of success? I have got to save him! 8)
