@dontmindme I obviously meant to be aware of how close any spares or spouses are to dying. If there is a chance that you could potentially have two spots open for babies it's far easier to plan ahead and get an elder to fill the spot than it is to deal with certain failure.  It might not seem like it but I am a planner I always have a contingency plan in place because my Sims hardly ever do exactly what I first plan.

Does anyone know exactly how to get the pomegranate or cherries? My cherry spawners don't seem to be working, and every single sim in my household has spent the last few days fishing at Willow Creek Pond but... nothing. Got plenty of Dragon Fruit and Cowplant Berries, though.

@Lisa46 I've managed a lot of Pomegranates from Sylvan Glade.   The best places for Cherries are: visiting the Landgraabs (There are 3/4 over there I think), plus if you have Get Together try the Von Haunt Estate Garden , and down the road from the shrieking Llama where the cherry and lemon trees are.  If you're lucky they won't all be growfruit like they are in my game.

Thank you so much! Never did get a cherry but at long last we have a pomegranate. Awesome. Founder will be ready for ambrosia in about five days.

For ID players who pollinate I have a question: what number of babies is enough babies? I got to the point where the whole process is pretty painless and doesn't take up much time, and the babies are piling up... So when do you usually stop?

@Curveball I go until a) there are plenty of choices for Good Friends and Best Friends for a generation or two (ie, Adult Gen 3 and kid Gen 4 can both befriend from the same batch for ambrosia) or b) I finally have pretty spouses/pollination bait. I usually determine b by going to an older, renamed save and taking a look at what the kids look like as young adults.

@Curveball I was trying to get one girl baby in each house so that the pollination process could continue the next generation. It worked well for the first generation, but I had a bad run of luck with boy babies in the second generation and ended up with a pollinator that had 43 children. That seems like a little much. But anyway, that's my strategy and I'm sticking to it for now. :p

Planning ahead a little bit (I'm not at this point yet), does anyone have any suggestions for decent ways to fill the 'witness the death of a sim' requirement of the public enemy aspiration? I was hoping there would naturally be an elder in the household around that time, but in case that doesn't work out, I'd like to have a back up plan.

Backup would be to find a hot-tempered sim and anger them to the point of death. Move-in optional.

If you have mixology drinks or food that spoils as part of your Immortals collections be aware that the Tidy Up option can delete them.  If your Sim has traveled to a different lot and you use the Tidy Up option on a Sim left at home the spoiled stuff will be eliminated even if the collection is normally inaccessible to your Sims.

My collections were in a basement with no stairs and using Tidy Up caused the drinks to disappear.  At first I didn't know what happened to them, but later on figured out it was the tidying up action that caused it. :-[

That's too bad, Cynthia. I wonder if the same thing would happen if the maid comes while you are off lot.

Can you replace the items, or were they from an earlier generation?

Speaking of, I'm trying to figure out good ways to keep a food or drink-having museum away from sims. I'd like it to be visible, but not reachable, and am thinking of the following: Create essentially a separate room for the food, with floor-to-ceiling windows; something like that, but fenced off, that sort of thing. Is there an object where an item can be displayed, but not reached, or is one of those my better bet?

You can put them in a locked room with windowed walls. Display the drinks on shelves on a wall, the food on a table. That's what I would do. In my dynasty, My museum always stayed locked unless it was time for the new heir to eat ambrosia for the first time and have their picture taken with their items. Other than that, no one was allowed in.

Related to that, how do you judge the value of a meal for scoring purposes? I'm trying the usual methods I know of to find how much an object sells for, but that doesn't seem to be an option.

Tried a few more things, found an answer, unless there's a way besides checking in build mode that'd be better.
