That's a problem with all parties - if you do the requirement before it appears in the list, it doesn't count. It may be impossible for me to complete the Weenie Roast(that sounds wrong) but if it's another social event, I'll GLADLY spend all of my go money to get Outdoor Retreat because I have to forget about Immortal Dynasties.

That's another thing: You CANNOT play an Immortal Dynasty with just base content - I have no updates and only have the base game four parties(wedding, birthday, house party, dinner party)... and YOU CANNOT complete the party requirements for Generation 7 or 8 if you don't have Premium Sims 4 or OR because they cannot wed and have a wedding party, so you will be one party short for generation 7(all the medals must be unique events). So either suck it up and slap down $14 for the content or give up on the Immortal Dynasty and do another challenge. Harsh words, I know, but it's the truth. I found out too late that I would never be able to do an Immortal Dynasty with my current setup.  :'(
I play The Sims 4 for fun, so I don't care if I never end up being interviewed for the Dynasty Hall of Fame; people who play for keeps burn out too easily and don't enjoy playing the games, so I am going to not sweat the details.

That's not true, same types of parties at different venues still count as separate parties. So, you could have a dinner party at your house and a friends house and they'd count separately. So you can still complete the requirements with base content. Also, gold medal Dates count towards the requirement as well.

So if you had a date at the bar and a date at home, the rules would allow them to be counted as two unique social events? I thought the social events had to be totally unique. (Not like it really matters to me - once I get some more money and another paycheck - stupid mail man coming only on Tuesday and Thursday - I'll buy the code for Outdoor Retreat because it looks awesome.)

Thanks for clearing it up. Now I can plan my own Immortal Dynasty!  ;D

Yup, I'm pretty sure. I don't think it counts for every single party, but later in game when you start running out of options, you could have a date in two locations or a house party at your home and one at a friend's.  I saw that you cleared it with Metro on the Official ID board, so yeah. :D

This may be pretty late to the party but just ignore everything I had moaned about - finally got my mom to spend some cash money on her card to get the Digital Deluxe update, so now my Sims can do the B&W bash and Incognito Party, so sorry about whining earlier. Still, it's nice to know you can throw two dinner parties and they can be unique as long as the locations are different.  ;D

Been thinking about rewards and how important it is to plan them out carefully so that the rewards that help your sim get promoted quicker etc can be shared between all your immortals. Seems obvious I guess but the 'new' active careers can really benefit from some of the rewards far more than the rabbit hole careers. Professional Slacker, for example, seems pretty crucial to the doctor career as a wrong diagnosis leads to a sizable demotion. Also Great Kisser is a fast and sure way of leveling up charisma so that you can start using the 'negotiate a bonus' interaction as soon as your heir starts work. Not to mention the benefits of Marketable, Creative Visionary, Connections, Incredibly Friendly and Entrepreneurial. Put them all together for the right career and your sim is looking pretty good.

*edited: Although this still stands true, if you have Get Together as you can also use the club perks such as 'Networked' to help with faster work gains.

Thought it might be worth mentioning the usefulness of the cow plant. If you feed a sim to it once... they won't die. If you feed them to it again and they have the 'drained' moodlet ...they will die.

So, useful to a dynasty because the essence of emotion you get from milking the cow plant after you have fed one of your helpers to it... lasts 12 hours. Easily long enough to last an entire work shift.

So I get my helper in, say, very focused, feed him to the cow plant, then get him to milk it. That drink then goes to my current heir that's working... he drinks the essence of focus before going to work and has a very good work day while working hard all day long! Easy.

If you want the helper to make a few of these drinks you can feed the helper a moodlet solver or use the cloning machine to clone as many drinks as you want/need.

In Oasis springs you can find snapdragonand lily when you join the scientist career. Just look around outside.

Also scientists can become friends with the computer brain inventing thing. My founders spouse is best friends with it no insane trait needed.

Be careful not to send anyone to CAS when one of your heirs is at work. I sent my two new teens to CAS to get new clothes, hair, etc. soon after their father went to work. When they came out, I got a notice that he had come home from work, making only $21 and taking a hit to his progress towards a promotion to level 10.

To get your gardening skill to Level 5 fast without having to tend a huge garden all the time: harvest neighborhood plants and plant 10-20 of them, as time and energy allow. Water them, as well, if you can. Then go into buy mode and sell them. You not only build skill, but you make extra money from the planted plants. I think the lily harvested off the bush sells for $5 each, but if you plant it it sells for either $10 or $15. Also, the first (or least valuable) crystal or metal you collect should be sent to the Geo Council. When you get the element back, place it in the garden and enable the aura. You get a passive focused buff the entire time your Sim gardens.

The advantage to planting the harvested plants is that you don't have to wait for the "water" interaction to come up and you're doubling the skill by both planting and watering. I can get gardening to Level 5 in a day or two by doing this.

Just a note: be careful of placing elements on the ground in your garden as it can cause a major bug where plants become 'broken': unable to graft etc. Better to place the elements in a element display rack, even if you need to have a few of them scattered around. Once you have the 'broken' plant bug it is impossible to fix in that game file.

I usually put them on a table of some sort. I usually use that tree stump table from Outdoor Retreat because it fits nicely in the garden, but that's good info. I did not know that about the elements.

Just a warning: elder male sims can literally die from Trying For Baby now. I learned that the hard way.

@Lisa46 death by woohoo with elders as always been a 'thing'. Elder women can die from Over Exertion too, that's it's "correct" name! lol

Basically it relates to fitness levels; an elder with no fitness skill is easier to kill by woohoo and usually only takes 2-5 woohoos. An elder with high fitness levels is all but impossible to kill this way, possible but can take up to 17 woohoos in a row and often the over tired moodlet will just expire anyway.

There is a warning notification letting the player know that the elder is very tired/over exerted and to continue the activity may result in death. I can't remember the exact warning now, but there is one. Also the elder will get an over exerted moodlet and be very uncomfortable, similar to when you push your elders to work out.

I noticed the moodlet, I just didn't think it would actually do anything! I'm still trying to figure out all the new features in sims 4.

Some actual tips:

1) The easiest parties (in my opinion) are Dinner Party, Birthday Party, Date, Wedding, House Party, and Venue party. For a dinner party, just make one meal and three mixology drinks before the party. Then it will only take an hour or two to get everything done. For a date, use two sims from the same household who  have full needs and have had their first kiss. For a house party, have a cake and three drinks baked. For any party, use the tv to get people in certain moods, and have all your sims help.

2) Take advantage of any mood your sim has to accomplish some wishes for their seventh requirement. I'm only in week two of my main game, and my founder already has this one done!

3) Mixology and Cooking are good skills / aspirations to do near the beginning, since someone needs to make all that party food. You can make Gourmet Cooking the third skill. Aside from that, the only skills you need at the beginning of our dynasty are fishing and gardening. I used a seperate sim for each, but I think I could have used one sim for both. My gardener sim already has what she needs, and both sims are at level seven.

4) Good combinations— Serial Romantic & Soulmate: if you're okay with cheating this works amazingly, since both need a ton of gold/silver dates. Have a few boyfriends/girlfriends, then settle down with one to marry and go on dates with. I paired these with athletic, charisma, and gardening skill. Gardening & Fishing: both relatively easy aspirations. Cooking & Mixology: both require culinary career, so you won't get both done without doing them for the same person.
