i don't think it's a glitch, this has happened all the time with my female sims when the get pregnant. When the nooboo is born, the age bar is back to normal. @MarianT  @ratchie

So, the child still went? What does late exactly mean? If the child completely missed school and if that child was an heir, then it's a fail.

Ricalynn has quoted an excerpt with the ruling on the use of lot traits and clubs, which I have requoted below:

BIG CHANGES ** PLEASE READ **

Lot Traits & Club Perks Rules

Lot Traits Route -- Only one skill boosting lot trait allowed, the other 2 spots can be empty or any non-skill boosting lot traits.  Once all the traits are chosen, they must remain the same for the rest of the dynasty.
Club Perks Route -- Only one adult skill boosting club perk allowed, no limit on other perks.
CHOOSE: Lot Traits OR Club Perks, cannot have both.  No changes once you pick a route, must remain the same route for the entire dynasty.
You may opt to not choose either route, this means NO club perks and only allowed to have non-skill boosting lot traits.


*** NOTE *** If you have already used multiple club perks skill boosts, don't worry you are still qualify for HOF status.  Go with the club perks route and keep all the skill boosts you have, you are exempt from the one skill boosting club perk rule.  If you rather go lot traits, disband and delete your club.

REMEMBER if you are not aiming for Hall of Fame, none of these applies to you as you can do whatever you want in your dynasty.

I don't know how the above ruling applies to clubs that your dynasty family didn't create.

I've read that and understood that to mean about the home lot, so it means all lots as long as it's only 1 skill boosting trait?

Sorry I misunderstood your question.

You'll need to wait for a response from a member of the Challenges Team because the rules currently don't cover the question of lot traits for community venues.

@oshizu, this was a few pages back and suggests that using lot traits off the home lot is fine - not sure if something's changed in the meantime, though.

We are trying to balance it out and don't think one is better than another.
Lot Traits -- 50% skill boost to 2/3 skills.
Club -- 250% skill boost to 1 skill plus you get nifty perks like networked club (for careers) and rally the troop (for needs).

Correct you can still attend festivals to boost certain skills, and can travel to lot venues to boost your skill, not a loophole.    You just won't have the lot traits on your home lot, hey maybe some players don't like to travel and likes the comfort of their own home lot.

I know from own experience that I dislike travelling.  The map screen always freezes my game for a bit and it is slow to load, then while travelling I lose all my environmental buff that I set up for myself on home lot.
