Right there is absolutely nothing preventing you from maxing fitness (I have on a lot of characters).  However it's just the actual aspiration that's banned because of the longer life trait.  So have him max fitness,  get to level 10 in the athletic career if you want too!

And here I thought I'd never pick up a Sim game again... Joke's on me, I guess, here I come crawling back for more challenges  ;D

I have a question about editing the lots before live mode start. For a lot of ploppable Maxis-made lots from the library you have to mix and match footprints, like putting a 30x20 building on a 30x40 in-game lot... Are we allowed to go in and add some decorative trees/paths around the lot so it doesn't look quite as barren?

Actually now that I looked around the game a bit more, you can actually straight-up edit any lot you visit. Are there any restrictions to doing that, aside from keeping the bones of the building intact?

I read the last 10 pages of the discussion and think I'm pretty sure both of those are allowed/unrestricted but there's always that niggling doubt isn't there? >_<

Hey y'all!

I'm starting to fiddle with Sims 4 again after months of not touching anything Sims.  I got caught up on all of the packs and I'm thinking about what I want to play.  I looked at the Immortal Dynasty, but honestly, it looks like it's much more complicated than the first one in Sims 3.  Is it or am I just forgetting how it all worked?  I always play better when I have specific goals in mind, but I'm so out of practice on everything.  Any suggestions or thoughts for me?

Pam!  I would honestly take a look at Lena's spreadsheet and see what you have to do.  I find this one simpler, easier even with your immortals having to do all the work.  There aren't as many uniques so there's no kicking gates on the pool this time around and no supermaxing.   Another suggestion would be to play a game where the goal is to do just one generation.  Get the feel of playing again under your nails if that makes sense.

PAM!!!!  WHOO HOO!  Welcome back lady!  Really, the Sims 4 ID is easier in many ways than Sims3.  Just use a spreadsheet to keep track, or write your own strategy up and go for it.  It's a bit more complicated, (but not any harder), if you do a rotational rivalry ID, but for me it got old having to switch around just when you got really into it.  For me, Sims has to be fun and relaxing, not work and not too much strategy so an ID or one of the story challenges is my cuppa tea.  I've missed you!
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Welcome back Pam.  It's not more complicated, just quite different because sims 4 no longer have some of the properties sims 3 have.  Now the Rival Dynasty, that one is definitely more complicated than Immortal.

No restrictions, as long as you don't do any structural changes to the buildings.

Good to see you back, @Pam! You might try the Baby Boomer challenge, which starts in a couple of week, to get used to TS4 again.

@Metropolis Man - Good to see you, too!  *big hug*

@Joria - Thanks!  I don't know how much I'll really be around, but it's nice to tip my little toe into the Forum again.

I like the idea of trying just one generation at first.  I'll also take a look at the new Baby Boomer challenge.  I'm so very rusty, but I'm planning to spend a little time on the game more often.
