But wouldn't that be a fail? There are 6 immortals in the house, 7th can't have a child until their sibling dies and by that time 7th gen also risks dying?

@Nettlejuice
Sorry for being unclear--I didn't mean to cause confusion about the 6th generation heir question. I just meant to say that if there's just one spot left but someone dies before childbirth, leaving two spots open, the mother may give birth to twins.
in my Immortal Dynasty, this happened to my third-generation heir who gave birth to twins. That didn't destroy my dynasty but made things harder because I no longer could add that pollinator I was anticipating.

I would like to think that if twins were born to gen 6 because of accidental death the challenge team may be able to help if however a player didn't plan for potential situations then it would be a fail.

The obvious solution to me is to have an elder move in if anyone dies while gen 6 is pregnant.

I apologize if this has been asked and answered before, but are immortals allowed to have a death flower in their inventory after they have earned ambrosia?

What does it do when it's in their inventory?

I think I might have failed then as my gardeners have death flowers in their inventory until I remember to put them into storage it could easily be several days if I forget. I don't recall seeing the rule about no death flowers in inventory in the rules.

Death flowers in inventory used to save a sims life however it does not work anymore in Sims 4 because a dying Sim cannot plead for their own life last time I tried.  Someone else has to do it and I've never had someone autonomously plead with Grim.

@ratchie
No you did not fail.  Sorry my mistake, I forgot that it works differently in sims 4.

@Jamie
Yes can keep death flower in inventory, however remember not to have anyone plead with grim when he comes knocking on your door.

@Ricalynn
Thank you for reminding me of how death works in sims 4.

Thanks for the quick reply Nutella I have never had anyone plead with Grim in the Sims 4 and wasn't sure how it worked. I tend to get things all muddled up together and often think I can do things in the Sims 4 because I did them in the Sims 3.

My Dynasty had a family tragedy today. Poor Noa died at her wedding. The spouse of gen. 3. She just gave birth to her son (heir for gen 4) so they decided to get married. All the excitement was too much for her and she got hysterical with laughter. The poor thing tried to save herself by calming herself down in the mirror, but with no succes. The succesful and amazing wedding had a turn for the worse when she died of laughter.
At least she gave them a son to fulfill the Dynasty. (She died way too joung).

Awww !  Sorry to hear that happened but just think of it is as a good backstory for Gen 4 finding his true love and holding onto her tight.. or never getting married at all!  And you definitely have room in the house for other things later.

I recently spent 8 IDC generations in terror of one of my Sims dying of hysteria! It happened to one of my heirs in an early attempt   From then on as soon as anyone gets very playful they get sent straight off to a mirror to calm themselves!  RIP Noa.

@Ricalynn it sure does!

@tjtemple aw that sucks, I always try to keep a close eye on their emotions as well.

@Nettlejuice yeah I feel a bit sad for her not being around when her son grows up. I'm considering brining her back. Too bad I did not write a book of life for her.
